Was thinking this exact thing watching Taylan May back up off his brother on the inside after taking the previous tackle. Showed an innate ability to play what is in front of him. I wondered how long in the Tigers system that innate ability will be shot to bits. Do you think players just lose confidence? There is so much pressure placed on the players at losing clubs? coaching? All of the above maybe.
I think as has been mentioned it’s a mix of training standards, confidence and the type of players.

I remember saying this about 5 years ago on this forum and it’s got worse since then. Until we figure this out it will always be 2 steps forward 2 steps back.

That was hard to endure.I see a bit more fight in them these days - apart from the horrific Melbourne game.
In other years I have no doubt the Titans would have easily wiped the floor with us.
The attack was woeful but they found a way to win a must win game- a rare occurrence - and they are all worth 2 points in the end.
Normally I will watch the replay when I get home instead I watched the last 3 minutes and relived the crowds reaction.

Yeah we were awful, that ref didn’t help either, sorry but she’s not up to first grade.

The titans always make us look extremely average, I get we are reigning spooners so that’s expected but I bet we play a heck of a lot better against Penrith & the dogs

They were saying today they've won 5/7 at LO (Pretty sure they were the numbers)
My first thought was
- They've been rubbish for most of their existence and still towel us up at home almost 3/4 of the time.

Anyway so far it’s been yet another weekend of back rowers, centres, fullbacks and lightning fast wingers all coming up with big plays and creating line breaks and tries for their team.
Plenty of our supporter base on this forum seem to think with the inclusion of Taylan May and KPP we become competent as a team in these positions.
I am yet to see it on a regular basis, we appear to have the least dangerous team in these important attacking positions and desperately need the injection of an outside back and a back rower who are fast and dangerous ball runners and preferably strong defenders to go with it.
If these types of players are not available for 2026, we should be moving fast to sign some quality for 2027.
Pace and power. 2 things we haven't recruited much of, across all grades, for a decade. We once sought out Koroibete and jac, haven't had anyone lightning fast since.
Settling for hard working undersized types just doesn't get the job done. Those players complement the athletic types, they shouldn't replace them.

Chammas just said on insta that AD was shopped to Parra but they weren’t interested

Surely we make room for him he’s only 26 which surprised me a bit
Doueihi is a versatile average first grade player that is rightly playing on unders this year because of multiple ACL injuries. However, he has proven his fitness and his much improved defence from the trials onwards has shown that he deserves an average salary for a couple of years.
