Toughness wins games

The problem is who do we buy, year after year we get it wrong Hunt was a total waste of money
I just don't think Hunt is a 'leader'. I do believe in the right circumstances, he could kill it off the back of a couple of leaders though.

Just spitballing...but Terrell May likes to ball play. Could he be considered at #13?

In the front row, 2 guys that I believe might have the mentality to take the challenge to the opposition- Sam Fainu & Kit Lualili'i.

If we cannot add upgrades from outside the club, how do you best use what you do have?

At this stage of our rebuild we need to fill positions where we don’t have starting caliber players. That’s the low hanging fruit for next year. KPP and Taylan May are a good start.

1. Sua Faalogo [move Bula to centre]

4. Taylan May [already earned a 3 year deal, imo]

5. Sione Finau [exciting winger that will bring some finishing class to our backline, will be fighting Turuva for our top try scorer for the year]

12. Kai Pearce-Paul [ he's on his way ]

13. Ray Stone [ Hard hitting 13, bring some steel to the pack] ]

15. Kayliss Fatialofa [ backrower from NZ that'd add some strike to our backrow and push some players further down the depth chart ]

18. Harrison Hassett [ backrow / utility, can cover wing and centre if needed. Strengthen our weak backrow]

19. Lazarus Vaalepu [ Melb prop, Samoa rep. Add some depth to our forwards. Need him to be less passive and play with some starch ]

20. Krystian Mapapalangi [top 30 upgrade. Good centre depth and can play anywhere 1 - 7, already in the ranks. ]

21. Peter Taateo [already in the ranks by all reports is suring up for a contract of some kind.]

With those additions- move Sam Fainu to the middle?

We have always been soft. Soft mentally and physically. Just want some tough, no nonsense pigs in the middle. Not these same guys that show slight promise with the ball and can’t be bothered getting their jerseys dirty in defence.

We just dont know how to play the long game….

Look at the Dogs, they do it perfectly…

No fancy stuff till the back end of the game…..

The first 3/4 of the game, they just grind out set after set and suffocate you with line speed…

It’s really a simple game plan that they execute week after week…

Why can’t we do this?…

And Penrith / Storm same, amazing coincidence eh !

Won’t matter who we sign until the environment is better.

The better players want to leave the place and the external signings lose 25% of their ability after spending 6 months at the club.
