Who was the other half that was taken from west in the 80's

Scotty Gale - champion Magpie junior who signed with Easts after the NSWRL kicked both Western Suburbs & Newtown out of the comp. He was Lamb’s halves partner in 1983.

Also lost Mick Neil to Balmain a few seasons later ...

Really underrated player - but another who left Wests for greener pastures after years of loyal service.

Better servant for the Magpies than many of their "Team of the Centtury" though!
