Meanwhile Kiraz gets off with no warning or fine, performed the same action on the same field on the same day.

He didn't do it to fans though, apparently he did it to Doueihi.

This is a big nothingburger, the NRL has to be seen to doing something if players are making potentially rude gestures to fans. The NRL have given Tigers a limp slap on the wrist, which is what we all expected.

All tallied it actually makes the Bulldogs look all the more pathetic complaining about such nothings after being comprehensively outplayed by a vastly lower team. NRL have now taken action, it's borderline meaningless action, and what we are left with instead is Bulldogs losing credibility for what might be another season that peters out badly despite good early form.

leave it be, let that be the problem of the NRL - we have been given a warning and that should be it from our side - whatever happens to other teams shouldn't be our concern unless it directly affects us negatively, maybe Kiraz will be given a warning as well (a quiet one) but really we shouldn't care anymore what happens to him

Our team directed it at fans...knowingly on camera boradcast to millions...and while I totally get why they wanted to shove it right up the Bulldogs fans and it must have felt seriously good at the time, it wasn't a classy representation of our team and took the gloss off the win slightly.

Players are employed by the club and have behavioural standards in the uniform...like any company. They also have a duty to the game. They need to be a bit more professional.

We ended up looking like a bunch of chavs. We set ourselves up for the exact same treatment when we lose a game...and we will...fans are going to stick it right up us and ridicule us.

A chav is a British term, usually used in a pejorative way. The term is used to describe an anti-social lower-class youth dressed in sportswear.

We don't need to stoop to those levels. No will be offended if we carry ourselves with more class.
