Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I highly doubt Douehi would have taken unders to stay,
If we have only paid him around that 400k value, I’d say there’s an additional 3rd party agreement involved.
Yes. Under 400k doesn't fit your narrative so what you say must be true.

He's staying...and he stayed for less than what St George was offering. Instead of acknowledging that (which is a club feat in itself) you go on with the story that it can't possibly be right when you have no idea.

We're gonna have some tall timber in the engine room next season joining Sam Fanua.

Samuela Fainu - 194cms - 109kgs - 21 years young - 2nd row
Maverik Geyer - 191cms - 104kgs - 24 years young - 2nd row
Ethan Roberts - 195cms - 105kgs - 20 years young - 2nd row
Kai Pearce-Paul - 198cms - 108kgs - 24 years young - 2nd row
💯 club

I’m reliably told money is of very high importance to Adam Doueihi.
You don’t know how much we are paying him yourself, so it’s best not to question others if you have no idea what you are talking about.

At least we won’t look like boys playing against men in most games next season. As long as those big boppers actually play like men!

Reliably by who?

I don't profess to know what I'm talking about. I just look at the public reports...by people who have genuine connections in the game (managers, players, coaches).

Richo himself is quoted saying last offer when asked if we'd bump it up.

You know more than Richo?

I’m saying based on what I know, there is a possibility a 3rd party sponsorship deal could have been part of the deal to help get Douehi’s signature across the line.
If that is true, it’s great for Wests Tigers and our salary cap management.

If that is the case through club would be in deep trouble. TPA can have nothing to do with the club. We know these types of thing go on but you won't get an admission from anyone so either way it is all speculation.

I think you're on the money, V.

I think we'll see a couple of surprising names move early in the next couple of months.

'Surprising' in that they're not the Feledys or Tumeths of the world, but I think those names, particularly Hunt and Bird, may well fall out the back door pretty quickly.
Jack Bird, he could be an important piece in what positions we are still recruiting depth for.

I don't think we'll be able to move him on nor do I think he'll want to go or retire. But he still can provide some value as a depth piece.

What position could this primarily be for?

I think either Benji still sees him as a bench utility to cover backrow, centre, lock or just as a depth centre to predominantly play NSW Cup and add experience to this team (and be called upon if absolutely required).

Just to play devils advocate here

Alex Seyfarth - 191 cm - 104kg - 26 years young - 2nd row/lock

NSW Cup should be competitive next year if we stay healthy
