Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Doueihi is a genuine utility who is also a good athlete with size, power, pace and a good long kicking game. The latter is a asset we've never utilised to the fullest. He also has an uncatchable high kick. From memory he was a schoolboy international rugby player.
Not disagreeing with much of what you have just stated but I would like to see that uncatchable high kick, been a while since I've seen one unless he's snuck in a few when I wasn't watching.

Would love to see one or two of those at a minimum every game.

That would be OK; if we made a deal with AD. However, if the deal meant Wests Tigers could offer "unders" then it is a breach. There has to be complete separation of the the third party and the club. For example; we couldn't chat with Richo and say that if AD signs for X tell him that we'll top him up with a thrid party advertising deal worth 100K; but,, we could approach AD directly, or post contract signature, and offer him an 100K advertising deal as a means to increase our market exposure. While similar in nature it is the invovement of the club that differentiates what is and isn't included in the cap.
If you did a 3 year third party deal with Adam Doueihi and in the 3rd year he went to New Guinea you would technically still be obliged to pay him, it is supposedly strictly a deal between the 3rd party sponsor and the player, nothing related to a particular club and applicable regardless of which team he is playing for.

That's my understanding at least.

A bit odd he didn't try it in the rain ey?

The ball is very steep and drifted before drifting was common place in the NRL. I first saw it when he played 7 in the Balmain SG Ball team against the Sharks at Shark Park. The Sharks I believe won the premiership but their fullback and wingers I don't believe caught a ball all match.

Spot on - if the club is invoved it is not a TPA and it is part of his salary and in the cap.

I believe you can sponsor a player conditional of them being at a club. If you are a local business it would only make sense you want to sponsor a local player.
The only example I can really remember in the media is Parra BMW sponsoring Moses. It was reported when before re-signing with eels that if he were to leave he'd have lost his car.
I believe it is a breach (in this example) if Eels asked BMW to sponsor Moses.
