Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

he’s on 1.2 million now

He isn’t taking a pay cut
That’s right he’s at a club that also had to pay for his last contract, so he been spoilt too.
Seriously I can’t see a world where he comes here on a reasonable contract, but you never know ya luck, so I’d throw in a bid, and chase kolourmytonguey.

It’s not crazy. Latu is over 6ft tall so he isn’t a shrieking violet.
The part that stands out for me is he just doesn’t have a kick in him at this stage, he can bomb that’s it, haven’t seen a well placed grubber or a placed kick or a chip. So I don’t get why he is not only being considered a half but a halfback.
His strongest attribute is he plays very direct, great to have as a half back as it gives your outside line more time to play but that is also a great attribute for a ball playing lock.
Jeez six foot...he looks like a midget out there.

Sam is meant to be 194cm. Latu reported at 183cm. This photo looks a lot more than 11cm difference to me.

He comes up to Sams nose and the difference from there to the top of your head is around 20cm.

That Pic is obviously a few yrs old, they played for manly over 2 years ago, so Latu was maybe 17...he has probably grown a few cm's since then.

Good to see you’re still kicking mate…. I’m a tad over 5 years into a life I might not have had.
Unfortunately chemo didn’t like me. Had 3 weeks worth the first time and it shut my kidneys down. Tried about 3 weeks later with a very small dose and did the same thing. Was stuck with a ton of radiation on my face and neck.
Not much fun… but it’s good to be alive.
Chin up mate, it's adults like you and the poor little helpless kids that are sick through no fault of their own that get more sick through the treatment but still stay in the fight that are the real hero's and inspirations in society. Your post about how tough your doing it atm, one day another member might read it while they're about to give up the fight and see if you can still fight so can they, inturn helping save their life. Butterfly effect. You will never know how inspirational your ability and will to fight is to others. Again, chin up.

People will scratch their heads over this but here goes .
I really think latu will be a much better player as a ball playing lock , having watch him in his limited games he drifts in and out , as a play maker at 1/2 u got to be talking and organising the team , he is way of that .
He is a great defender, hits hard down low , when he sees a hole he has great pace to go throw it , just my thoughts , also we didn’t buy the Andrew’s kid for nothing
He's 19. At least let him have a shot first in his preferred position.

I get the sentiment about him fading in and out of games, but he's probably not confident in himself yet to be calling plays over Luai yet.

Bula is a good example. Only now he has found a bit of a voice. I'm no expert on Polynesian culture, but as I understand it, you can get kids who are a bit shy, particularly kids who've had a strict upbringing. It seems there's a bit of that at play. He's very talented and with Doueihi there as a back up if things aren't going well during games, you can shift him easily to change it up a bit, but long term he is going to be a great half.

But so has Samuela then. You don't really grow 10cm in 2 years at 17. At least it is very rare. Most men reach adult height between 16 and 18.

Disagree , with him been out there at lock he can observe what AD and laui are doing easier to pick up when there’s no pressure on u

Yeah, you know it hey. 👍🏻
Back at work yet?
No not yet....still doing immunotherapy just had my 30th infusion last week....18 or so months to go touch wood no complications but there will still be follow ups, scans and blood tests after that.
