I continue to see a lot of posts on this forum and comments on some of the Wests Tigers podcasts that we only really need one dominant middle forward recruit to make us genuine top 4 contenders.
While in theory of course this type of player would be a big help and could potentially help us get somewhere near the top 4, but who this player and where are we getting him from ?
I know some say this player might magically pop up similar to how we got Terrell May, but if you look across all team lists, the stereotypical alpha forward is very few and far between, their teams are not letting this type of player go.
Then you look at who is coming off contract for 2026 or 2027 and although there are a couple of decent options, there is nobody that has that wow factor.
So what do we do ? Do we take a risk on an ageing aggressive player such as Braden Hamlin-Uele, or do we pin our hopes on potentially signing a younger up and coming player who could develop into somewhat of an alpha such as Davvy Moale who is currently available for 2026, or Samuel Hughes or Liam Henry both currently available for 2027 ?
