Wow last nights episode was something else.

Bascially talking Bunji and Payten about winning the comp and the bond between the players.

Some brilliant insight and footage and yes pack some tissues for the tears of joy.

During the show they asked Bunji when did you think we could win the comp and he didnt really narrow it down to one point but i distinctly recall when i had THE moment and actually wasnt scared to mock it by saying it to myself!!

It was during the 8 streak and we went down to Canberra and we were playing awful this day.We were down 14-0 at half time and the Raiders murdered a try right on half time it could easily have been 20-0.

We were still clunky in the second half but at least didnt concede any points!!

With about 15 to go we suddenly click and put 4 slashing tries on them and win moving away 22-14, no stress no heart attacks just beautiful!!

I literally said out loud fark me we are the best team in the comp we can win this!! And I didnt mock it!!

Anyways cant wait for Sunday at the Rectangle, the crowd should be bouncing and i cant wait to see the 20 year celebration live with all you tigers fans lets hope its sprinkling so they dont notice the tears!!!

WOW!!
I was down there that day, and I didn't go away thinking much about winning at that stage.
But since then, I've always carried great memories that I was there the day we turned our season around - and there at the start of our Premiership run!
So lucky.
 
He said only two of the squad didnt get 'premiers 2005' tatts....doesnt rememeber getting his, was pissed as.
Prepared for the GF the day before by going to his mates 21st and then Maccas

He was spending the night at Halatau’s house and Farah was there as well. Called them on the way home, asking if they wanted Maccas, they said no, and he still walks in with enough food for 3 people, and eats it all himself,

Loved reading that.

I knew about a dozen games out. We’d watched em play the night before with the boys at the Ry. I got up the next morning and walked down to the TAB, one of the boys had stayed over (to drunk to walk home), and says where you going? I said hair of the dog 🐕 bcoz I was still unsure what this feeling of “We are gunna win the GF” was, but I knew I had to get a ton on us asap. So ol mate and I started walking to the pub, past the TAB. I turned to go in there and he says where you going? And I tell him the Tigers are going to win the GF this year and I’m getting on em!
And he says “Shut up and take my money!” We got $9/1.
I have never been surer of a bet.
It’s was the vibe.
 
The games that gave me a feeling of confidence we could take out a premiership was the Sharks game at their home ground when Benji went on that incredible run through most of their team to set up a try and then the 50pt plus flogging we gave the dogs.

Watched that replay many times of Benji's run through the Sharks along with the grand final flick pass it never gets old.

Thats thenonly time i ever been to shark park...what a day to go

I wasn't at the game but from memory all the tiger's supporters invaded the seats around the ground close to the sidelines and drowned the shark's supporters out with their cheering.

Then again there wasn't much for the sharks to cheer about getting torn to shreds lol.
