Ran within himself ......still hopefully has a bit more in the tank and runs a PB tomorrow
He reminded me off Setfarth the baby giraffe trying to stand up for its first time in that first 100m. He started to pull it together coming home. If his coach can tidy him up a little he should time better with each run. Also he’s gotta be a little nervous knowing it’s ya first major event and it’s televised into ya home country with all ya fam and friends watching.

They showed him after his run and he got interviewed by CBS even before he was interviewed by Ch9

Gout Gout is still another Olympics away from competing at the highest level and even then it’s no guarantee he’ll even make it. I’d say even making it is a massive achievement

There is a lot of youth sprinters that peak at a young age then never amount to anything .. let’s hope Gout gets the right mentoring and training to reach his potential

From heartbreak to history!

Following an appeal, Jessica Hull has been put through to the Women’s 800m Semi-Final. Hull’s elevation means she will join Abby Caldwell & Claudia Hollingsworth in the next round.

It also represents the first time Australia’s had three women progress to the 800m Semi-Finals.

Torrie Lewis has delivered an impressive 200m semi-final performance in Tokyo!

A fast and flying start put the Queensland athlete in the best position, crossing 4th in her heat in 22.69, but missed progressing to the Final.

A huge moment for Cameron McEntyre to make the World Athletics Championship Men's Javelin final, with Aussie giving his all in Tokyo.

A second round attempt of 75.65m caps off his campaign, with the NSW athlete finishing 12th in the world.

Battling difficult conditions, Georgia Griffith has launched Australia's campaign on Day 6 with a run in the opening round of the Women's 5000m.

Crossing the line in 15:33.15, Griffith finishes 17th and won't progress to the finals.

Reece Holder has delivered a sensational race in the Men's 400m, despite start issues holding up the semi-final.
A gutsy final 120m saw Holder move through the field and cross in 3rd (44.63), but unfortunately will miss out on progressing to the Men's 400m Final.

Yual Reath can hold his head up high following his inaugural World Athletics Championship campaign.

Making it through to the finals, Reath jumped 2.20m in the Men's High Jump final to finish his #Tokyo2025 campaign =11th in the world.
