Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I heard bellend knocked on our door and Richo answered “No the Fruit Pascal twins don’t live here anymore,
If the Storm want to move on big Nelson, they will have to cough up some big dollars going on his recent form and discipline.

Can't see anyone taking him for more than 500k that's a healthy throw in to move him on, you would have rocks in your head if you paid any higher.
My first offer would be you can pay half a mill to make up for Olam or keep walking, and Benji doesn’t get a say.
The pascal twins have left the building.

NAS and Kamikamica are washed. find the next up and coming throbber and offer him a stack like we did with Stefano.

Vaa Semu's probably that guy. there's a million props at Brisbane he's stuck behind. offer him the house.
🤣 “Offer him the house”….the bloke has played 2 incomplete seasons of QCup, mostly from the bench.

aren't you the bloke that is a self confessed lover of statistics?

if you are then you'd see full well the talent the kid posesses.
That may be so, but those stats mean nothing unless they are at NRL level.
If we are going to throw big cash, you don’t do it to untried and untested blokes in reserve grade.
That’s how we got in trouble multiple times.

he's 21 and the best uncapped young prop on the market. tackle efficiency stats always translate into NRL, and given his average carry is above 10m that's extremely promising when compared to the other good young front rowers getting about (Pasifiki Tonga, Xavier Vaa, Hopwood)

$350k a year to get him out of Brisbane isn't going to get you into trouble. it's smart business.

You said throw the house at him

we would’ve been out of minds if we didn’t look at cooper bai. he’s still on a t&t with titans and they are about to lock him up for a long time soon. we should snag him off them

All I know is we need more middle depth for next season if we don't sign any at all we will be in trouble if injuries hit.

Surely the club can see this it's only early and time to find a forward but if we don't by Christmas it will be a worry.
i’m curious to see if we are after a big fish or a just decent signing that will help the squad balance better.

Definitely pay 600k even 650k for NAS and have Storm chip in. He is the pack leader we need. An intimidator. Gives us something we desperately lack. Incentives built in would be good for number of games played to mitigate against suspensions…

If not NAS then would take Kamikameca for 350k as a rotation prop
If signing Russell Packer, Ben Matulino, James Tamou and David Klemmer as "the experienced pack leader we need" haven't taught you anything by now I'm not sure there's much else to say.

"After years of disappointment with get rich quick schemes, I know I'm gonna get rich with this scheme. And quick!"

Surely something's brewing in that big brain of Richo's, I'm not swallowing his comments from his podcast suggesting not to expect any more signings.

After all there's 3 spots left to fill, there must be some middles on his radar.

We went overboard in edge forward recruitment and forgot about the middle.
The other question is do we realistically have cap space available for a high quality middle as we have already spent quite a bit on the forwards we have ?
I don’t think we have much cap space available for a high quality player unless we offload a couple of players first.
