Both are above the market for a fullback thats not in the top 10 in the NRL..but we dont have many options,and he does have some upside.
So Id pay it...but start planning for 2028,which buys us time(and alternatives)

And btw..no doubt IM is pulling the strings here..Id let the other IM managed player(kid actually) Phoenix Godinet go in a heartbeat,regardless of his potential..

Plenty of media on him today - I thought there were multiple options in the contract? I really don’t want to lose him. If we could get a full season out of him our chances of making finals increases

I believe there are two clauses for 2027:

1. In tigers favour - Bula gets paid 900k
2. In bula favour - Bula gets paid 800k

I think these expire November 1, meaning that if bula goes to market, then his contract with us technically ends 2026 and a new contract will need to be negotiated for 2027 onward...

My guess is bula will extend for 2027 at 800k and that this is just a play by Moses to scare the tigers into the 900k deal.

In saying that, i think if he hasnt signed before November 1 then hes probably out of here.

Don’t worry guys we are letting Bula (our up and coming star) go for a returning Teddy. 2 year deal worth 1.1mil with a third in his favour. Also goes up to 1.3m if he gets his NSW jersey back! Agree but we need him to be 100% committed or it’s a waste of time , mosses will be going hard for another team to offer up a deal Bulla would look at that’s for sure , Richo needs to get him in the office before pre season and iron it out , no good going to. 2026 with half hearted looking to leave players , they need to be weeded out asap

I think he cld play anywhere,but having just turned 18 it's too big an ask to play out of position in next year or two
If he sets it on fire next season as an outside back..and I think he will..its possibility maybe
But we need a more concrete plan

Which is why he will be agitating to do something different to what Bula is contracted to..
So we need to be prepared and proactive
Got a feeling it's not going to end well with Bula
There's a reason why a billionaire chairman cant/won't deal with Moses..were exactly the same even tho we don't have units at Bondi or a shiny new Mustang to offer to alternatives

I am torn on this. I genuinely think Bula is a good bloke and not in the Galvin or the other big 3 that stuffed us up. So I would like him to stay as I see heaps of upside in him.
But I think Moses is a leach and cant stand him and I cant believe Bula would sign with him.
However we know this is a business and we need to deal with the likes of him.
We are not the roosters and cant attract players as they can. So I think it would be prudent for Richo and Benji need to take Moses to lunch and get business done.

As much as i like Bula if he starts acting like he is playing silly buggers under Moses instructions i want him out of the club.Certainly i prefer to have him with us and i don't mind him extracting as much as he can out of us BUT if he starts playing Moses silly games then he needs to go.
However i do believe he is a better man than that and will stay at a realistic price or just marginally over.

Sacked is a harsh word. She wasn't extended beyond this year and she was only on a development contract
