Yep i do agree. Hes probably not worth that money - yet. But the comment around the spine is valuable.

He's not worth that money yet and has been overpaid the last few years for sure.

Problem is with paying on Potential, As soon as you start to get value for money

If the choice is paying Bula an extra 50-100k to keep him or getting to June 30th and having to upgrade existing contract just to spend the remaining cap (which seems to be the position we have been in the last few years), I know what I would prefer.

You keep going on about Bula not activating his clause is a bad thing, yet you have zero idea if Bula and the club are in the middle of working through a revised contract which would be a good thing.

We know you aren’t the biggest fan of his but his clauses are short sighted and doubt the club is focusing on a 1yr addition for a key positional player.

He could have activated his extension clause anytime he liked.
Would you not assume if he has chosen not to activate it that he is wanting more than the activation clause value that is reportedly 800k ?

Proven first grader, experienced and capable defender defensive organiser with the capability to provide attacking threat with no agent hassles - vs potential and dealing with an agent who has seriously impacted the club on numerous occasions. I'd pay $550k in this market for that and still have some coin over for upgrade elsewhere.

We wouldn’t get him here for less than 600k. He’s underrated but a downgrade on Bula.
