funnily enough Michael Chammas thinks it's the other way round. club option worth $800k, Jahream's is worth $900k. I'd back him over most journos tbh. knows his shit.

regardless not worth losing him over a $100k valuation gap in my view. by 2027 I think he'll absolutely be worth $800-900k, especially with the expansion clubs in the offing.

Gives Haywood a full year to develop training alongside a young gun in the same position and we could actually benefit from resting Api with a quality player each game. Would this be a better option than signing a vet as a back up hooker? Does Madge and Marshall still have a good relationship?

Big fan of this. I personally believe we need a hooker on the bench to give Api a 20min rest. Playing Api 80mins a game will just come back to bite us and there isn't really anyone in our best 17 that can play 9.

Haywood is not ready and won't be for at least a year or two. Should spend most his time in cup next year. I personally am yet to be convinced that Haywood will ever be a first grader. He was outplayed by quite a few 9s in SG Ball this year which is worrying. Hopefully he has a solid year of development next year in Flegg or Cup.

the deal will work out the same once third parties are factored in , but behind closed doors we are doing moses' a favour here by cutting him into a deal in return we want to free up some 🧢 i think it gets done in the next two weeks

ideally need a depth 9 who is a much more physical defender than anyone else we currently have on our 2026 playing roster and Danny Levi is one of the only ones available that fit that description.
I’ve said before Tristan Hope is not a bad player, but he does not offer anything different to what Api offers.

I knew this Bula contract negotiation would blow up.
How he thinks he’s worth 900k per season or more is beyond me.
He’s a good athlete, but I’ve never seen him kick a ball, very rarely passes the ball and doesn’t have the courage to take the ball to the line and put a team mate through a gap.
He’s dreaming if he thinks the Bulldogs will pay him 900k. They might want to sign him, but no way will they pay that much for him, so we shouldn’t be the suckers to give in to his unrealistic demands.
Fullbacks in Rugby Union need to have a good kicking game, so that’s not an option.
I know the Perth Bears will be desperate for players, but I don’t think they will be silly enough to pay 900k or higher for Bula either.

What did Bula do to you mate? Your campaign against him has got me stumped. I have not met one casual rugby league fan who doesn't rate him and acknowledge him as a player who is destined for better performance in coming 2-4 years.
