Juniors - Pathways General Discussion

Anyone catch the live stream of the Aussie Schoolboys? Featured our own Phoenix Godinet.
I was watching it for a couple of minutes live and can’t find anywhere to watch the replay.
 
Anyone wondering. Despite being named as 11 PG played off the bench. Played probably a total of 20mins in the match. Was decent, strong in contact, strong running his defence caused a few turnover for the Aussies. Looked to set up a break/try either from dummy half or from 1st receiver on the blind it was hard to see if it was him or 14 in either position as they look very similar. A couple of errors, an offload out of trouble was dropped by the half, he chased a break down the blind and dropped the ball in contact shortly after recieving it and finally a kick off went over his head into the sideline.

If we're to be a "development" club then we need to be getting 3-4 players in the Aussie schoolboys squads every year. Our lack of representation shows how far off we are in developing juniors

We don’t develop a thing.
We find kids who are better than average, hype them to the moon, rush them into first grade years too early and partially ruin them.
Any parent who elects to bring their boys through our system only cares about fast money.
 
Anyone know when the junior reps squads for 2026 are going to be announced? They normally put the summer squads up on their website around now. Was the 4th of October last year.

Was just thinking the same thing the other day. Should be any time now hopefully.

They normally announce it last week of October once the bigger clubs have cut from their summer squads. Some very handy players get missed by Parra, Penrith and Sharks that end up with our boys. It especially helps Balmain that has a much smaller pool of players to call from, unlike the monster nursey we have with Wests and Group 6.

Must not have made the cut for a spot in our Jersey Flegg squad in '26. Surprising as I thought he was one of the better players for Balmain this season in Ball & managed by Richo's son.

I thought izack Isdale was the one to watch in this grade? Along with hopoate
