wonder how they felt about the galvin signing potentially de-railing their season thenI was on it the other day the popular opinion was that Salmon should be released before Curran

Lol especially the dog's win, think they fed him raw meat before that game the most aggressive I have seen him play for us.feels silly to describe him this way but there were a few times this season i thought he was almost an enforcer/ showed some explosiveness
You forgot to mention Naufahu Whyte, Xavier Willison, Erin Clark, Felise Kaufusi, Siua Wong, Simi Sasagi, Francis Molo and Koloamatangi, Reuben Cotter, and Lindsay Collins.
Let’s just wait and see how he settles in with us and performs here before casting criticism. His form at Newcastle may have been average, but Newcastle as a whole team were a mess last season. As mentioned before, 'Papallii, yes, much better. Sasagi, probably not but he has outperformed KPP this year'.

Yeah he's nearly as good as which one?? Making shit up? 🙂
International my ar*e
Yep, tigers announced there new partnership with ccc New Zealand, new training gear shown.... Also will be a new jersey announcement on the 14th of this monthLast week, there were pics of Jarome, Benji etc with the caption " November 3rd".
Did anything happen ?
Without the stupid white box I believe, could only be a good thing.Yep, tigers announced there new partnership with ccc New Zealand, new training gear shown.... Also will be a new jersey announcement on the 14th of this month
Not criticising him, he never was at the class of these other guys but it just highlights that we need to do better with our recruiting.Let’s just wait and see how he settles in with us and performs here before casting criticism. His form at Newcastle may have been average, but Newcastle as a whole team were a mess last season.
Wasn’t me who made those comparisons, a guy made a list saying all these players were better. I simply called out the ones I thought were laughable . And I brought up the confirmation bias and how annoying it is . “Im right because of my opinion . This is my opinion of the reason I’m right “ like seriously wtf!You realise I wasn't the one making the initial claim, I was simply agreeing with some else. Not sure how that makes it self congratulatory.
You are the one who chose to compare him to a couple of hookers, I simply thought that wasn't a fair comparison. Just as I think it is wrong for Chunk to rattle off a list of middles who are considered better than him when he isn't a middle.
Agree with most of what you are saying...KPP will create space for those around him and hopefully provide second phase ball. RL is a game of cm's on both the field and in the mind. If you only have one dominant attacking option you become predictable, what you need is a scattering of players that are unpredictable...will they run, will they pass, will they kick...maybe if we hold off a bit they will throw a cut out pass over the sideline or they will hold on too long and we can bundle them into touch or geez this guy is tall with long arms so we need at least 3 in the tackle to lock him up. For too long we have had too many predictable players...we now have more unpredictable players in our backline...however we are still lacking a bit in the middle and that's why the key would be AD developing into a 13.Wasn’t me who made those comparisons, a guy made a list saying all these players were better. I simply stated facts . The nrl has deemed KPP to be to the value of 550-650k . Which puts him in the probably 80th percentile , maybe higher .
People can once again convince themselves they’re right by making excuses like , “we were bidding against ourselves “ or whatever stupidity they want to come up with . In the end , the market dictated that he’s valuable . I personally value his skill set , but like others I hope he can improve his explosiveness off the mark .
It’s really annoying seeing the same people always bag our signings no matter what quality they are , constantly being contrarians .especially when I know most of these lounge chair experts have never laced a boot on in their life , been around a club , coached , or done anything really other than voyeur a game from the comfort of their lounge for X amount of years .
KPP is a great signing. Strong defensively , stands in tackles , has gravitational force on the field - what do I mean by that . He attracts players and demands respect . Some players simply don’t have that . Seyfarth is one of those players . Most of our edge backrowers have been that way . Even Ice , the opposition didn’t respect him like we all thought they would . Probably because the guys outside him were shit , so they knew where ball was going , but still . KPP has that gravitational force on the field . In fact most of that right edge does. Turuva/Skelton/Makasini , Makasini/May/Toa, KPP, and whichever of AD and Fainu, with Bula out the back . Each player should create space for the next . Which we haven’t had for years , as teams can ignore 1 or more attacking threat and slide or jam up on the ones who are.
Thats probably a sensible opinion...surprising for themI was on it the other day the popular opinion was that Salmon should be released before Curran
As long as Mason gets further and further away from the NRL side that's a good thingThat's a decent-looking backup spine. Some experience and solid play in Madden and Hope, plus lots of upside with Andrews and Attard.
Mason will probably get the 14, but Haywood may be an option also
They announced the apparel partnership with Canterbury. New Jerseys drop on Friday.Last week, there were pics of Jarome, Benji etc with the caption " November 3rd".

Exactly. And he's trialling for a NSW Cup deal. It's barely newsHe is " is trialling for a deal at Wests Tigers." - he hasn't been signed etc etc.... some people !
Not until 2028Is Attard top 30?
His problem is that he can't tackle against Men. Might have been ok against kids growing up but he flat out can't tackle. So he's been tried at Fullback to compensate and he can't catch. There's no NRL future for him unless he sorts one of those two issues outMason should be the 14 in cup imo.
I'm not ready to draw a line through him yet. His confidence seemed shot last year and that's as much an issue around how he was managed/coached last year. He probably should not have been anywhere near the NRL side.
He did initially hold his own at NRL level before being found out in a big way.
Can't remember which game in 1st grade it was but his defense lost us the game, from memory 3 bad misses where he let attackers through the line. His problem is that he can't tackle against Men. He was actually one of Newcastle's best. Metres gained, defensive stats and work rate. He showed more than any of our back rowers. Plus he has a great offload when he's allowed to use it by coaching staff (Adam O'Brien not one for that). I'm looking forward to having himLet’s just wait and see how he settles in with us and performs here before casting criticism. Josese Lanyon will be in the mix too as can play lock & dummyhalf. He turns 22 next year so longer eligible for Flegg. That's a decent-looking backup spine. Some experience and solid play in Madden and Hope, plus lots of upside with Andrews and Attard.
Mason will probably get the 14, but Haywood may be an option also
Keon would be an absolutely mind blowing get. Can you imagine Keon, May and Pole carving up through the middle FMD would be a dream! Pardon the pun but if we moved on Bula, Turuva to fullback and WELCOME TO JUNGLE KEON !!!People are saying the argument is flawed when looking at KPP's international standing, I just don't think he's in the same level as the reserves list of the other international teams. Yes he's an international by definition but that's it.
He's not a middle but wonder what his tackle bust or PCM stats are, compared to these other guys?
And I'd take Finefuiaki before KPP.
He's not on the same coin as these guys but it shows again that we need to do better when attracting players, somehow.
I'd take Keon for $900, we are desperate for a player like that.
