Our clubs is profitable for the first time in 10 years

if you didn’t care why even comment. profitable clubs make finals
No they don't.
Clubs that have big financial backers make finals.
Dogs get a big paycheck from Canterbury leagues which they use for coaching and junior scouting. Read somewhere up to 6million.
We scrape by and live on what we earn so Ashfield can borrow money to build a hotel. We need to make a profit as our owners are going for a big loan to build something not for us.

yeah of course. we don’t have that backing so we need to create profit ourselves if we want to be a finals club. the dogs have an endless cheque book with laundy to use on their junior academies and so on.

So we don’t get big handouts from our owners …unlike Penrith and Canterbury and others … and we don’t play the salary cap game ( ie cheat like the Roosters and Broncs ) … Is it any wonder that we just make up the numbers year after year? We are in the Newcastle and Gold Coast bucket

That is not the problem why we make up the numbers.
We use our salary cap terribly and that is solely the responsibility of the football department which Richo and Benji have taken the responsibility.

It puts them behind the 8 ball regardless of how they spend their salary cap … they have to compete with 1 hand tied behind their back..

Also … could you tell your Top 3 moves they should have made already to make them a premiership team since Richo arrived ?

Maybe they could have signed Haas, Walsh and Cleary? Even then would they be the premiership favourites headed into next season ?

They had very little choice other than to sign most of the players we currently have on our roster.
But there is now big opportunity to overhaul our playing roster for the better for 2027 and 2028 if they want to.
It comes down to judgement, but the confidence levels of many Wests Tigers fans is dropping fast in regards to our current core playing group leading us to success.
