Very few new combinations gel from the get go (re Luia/ Galvin) despite how well it may have gone in training.
The disruption caused by the Galvin contract on and off the field impacted negatively on our season, just like it did with the Bulldogs.

Because it is relative to thinking about our projections for this year , with most agreeing the dramas did cost us games last season. Taking that into account, players gains and losses, improvements to younger players and relative improvements of other teams… I have us 8th.
Sign another top class front rowers and I believe we are well in and looking at around 5th/ 6th.
If on the other hand we have an injury to Terrel for any significant period and that will put us behind the 8 ball. I reckon injuries to all other positions are not fatal .

We can only hope that the summer follows the script but with Latu and Doueihi's injury history that can leave you feeling a little nervous.

Hoping the rugby league gods are kind to us over the summer.

In my opinion Luai looked his best whenever Latu was there. He was good with Latu, decent with Doueihi, and average with Galvin. You could see how much he liked playing with Latu and loved how he straightened the attack for him.

To be fair so does most players . Not everyone can do it ala Benji Marshall , Brett Kenny , where it actually creates something . Most times to most people it’s a complete waste of time , and a detriment more than anything .

They didn’t have much time to prepare together. Jarome didn’t start training until January. He also picked up a leg injury which forced him to miss a few sessions as they had to manage the injury

Dunno if Luai was getting extra attention from Benji...seemed to.me Benji had given Galvin free rein to play what he seen......Luai being new to the team, sitting back and watching it unfold...si i highly doubt Galvin was jealous, maybe felt threatened or pressured a big name 4 x premier half had arrived

Absolutely that played a massive part. But they didn’t have as much time together as people may think.

The reason it didn’t work is because Galvin had the blessing of the club to play what he saw as he was the golden child.
Luai is a golden child from a different system who plays similarly.
Neither can organise a root in a brothel.
