Breaking news: HBG takeover

Well obviously there has been miscommunication or sabotage somewhere along the line.
It’s not normal to dismiss 4 independent board members without any reason.

Yeah. This is the whole Denny Burgess thing. You can't have someone that deluded on the Board. Like he actually thinks and describes himself as famous rockstar from back in the day. But its a lie. You can't trust the reason and logic of someone with hair like that and Im not joking. Look at whats happened. We've shat the bed and Bula will be gone in 20 mins.

That [This word has been automatically removed] has blown up my [This word has been automatically removed]n footy club again. I'd hate to think what I'd do if I saw him someplace.

I specifically remember being called paranoid when all the podcasts and forums got togeather when the three HBG directors were stood down and there was talk Romero wanted to wind back the implementation of the review. The whole forum was fuming and there were a handful that said the petitions did nothing, HBG were always going to implement the findings. Garbage, Romero signed off on it cause she put herself in a corner when she helped remove the 3 directors and knew reneging on the review findings would bring way too much heat at that time. So other debenture holders get togeather and oust her, wait for the heat to die down, invent a cockemamy story and undo what they never wanted done originally and what Romero was unable to undo 12 months ago. Where are the handful of formers who were telling Joel, Cochise and all the others who worked their arses off last year on the podcasts, petitions and forums to get exposure to the situation last year, calling them paranoid and saying they didn't achieve anything cause HBG never intended to not honour the review. Where are they now. Where's the apologies. 12 months later the proof is there for all to see. It's blatantly obvious imo this would have been done 12 months ago had no blow back been applied.
You're dead right mate. Richo said the same thing to us. Machiavellian was the word used. Jan last year.

HBG used the hard work of the main legends you mentioned to essentially liquidate the WT Board.

That's not a nice way to speak about @Vicious just because he is presenting a different view to you.
Why do people have to be so unkind?

He’s not presenting a different view, he’s talking out of both sides of his mouth and doing exactly what he’s accusing others of doing. He’s swallowed everything Paton said yet says we need to be open minded when it comes to accusations against HBG. He’s a sanctimonious, dishonest shitstain on this club.

To those waiting for "the truth" to be revealed. The truth has been revealing itself since HBG took control and accelerated when they consumed 90% of the club.

How many board room explosions can one club have in such a short space of time? There's only one common denominator.
What other club has a board like HBG that actively works against the success of there rugby league team?

Surely 4 independent board members have not been dismissed all because they give their approval for a predominantly orange coloured jersey ?
That’s basically what is being portrayed in the media, it sounds too ridiculous to be true.
Yes. It does sound too ridiculously to be true but unfortunately ridiculous actions and statements come out by the ownership board every year since the start of the merger. The ownership board has been shooting themselves in the foot and knifing everyone around them since the NRL team started. It’s ridiculous we are still in the same dysfunctional start 25 years later. With board that has there own self interest as priority number 1 and the on field success of the team priority number 100.

I'll tell you when the time is right 🤔.
That’s a wise move BZN, best not to reveal the big secret until everything’s in place, people might not like it. Coivtny may think you’re only a small cog but we all know it’s not the size of the cog that counts. Don’t keep us waiting too long BZN, as you say, you could fall off the perch at any time.

I hope HBG try to re-establish the Magpies as that will be the trigger for the NRL to revoke their license and take control of the club. The NRL will never allow the return of the Magpies or Balmain.

How HBG still operate with the muppets they have is beyond me. Taking Balmain away will remove more than half the fanbase. Good luck trying to fund this club with half its current fan base. There is ZERO economic viability to it... Shocking to think these people see themselves as businessmen and women.
It's not even about taking Balmain away. There are many, many of us who are neither WM or BT fans. We are ONLY Wests Tigers fans, and if Wests Tigers cease to be, I have absolutely no interest in following a team that hasn't existed for more than quarter of a century in the NRL, or the one that was my least favourite prior to Super League. My 4 piddly memberships and 2 or 3 merchandise purchases a year won't make much if a difference, but I don't think I'll be the only one.

In today’s Daily Telegraph there is an article and explanation of the situation. As the article is the usual chatter there was a section of question with answer of the current situation and I found this very disturbing (I’ll insert a snap shot from the article). This article is confirming my suspicions as stated in my earlier post that self sabotage has been going on for a while and it looks like 2030 is the year for these muppets to ramp up their plan to ditch the Tigers brand. Does anyone know the whole (legal) truth about this “Heritage Deed Prohibition till 2030”?

We need to complain to the NRL so they are aware of our distaste.

Prompt:

Draft a formal request to the NRL asking them to review the Holman Barnes Group’s licence following their removal of the newly appointed independent Wests Tigers board. Emphasise that the decision appears self interested, conflicts with good governance standards, and does not reflect the best interests of the Wests Tigers, the NRL, its fans, or the long term stability of the club. The tone should be firm, factual, and centred on governance integrity and stakeholder impact.
