Breaking news: HBG takeover

I actually think HBG have gotten so used to dismissing boards or members, that they didn't understand the gravity of it this time. None of these guys face the media or accountability, so they would tend to live a little bubble.

The fact that they had the CEO, someone who is not involved, face the media says everything to me about these guys. Weak and afraid of their position.

As I stated earlier, you are on the jury and have made your decision without hearing the evidence.
HBG will get turfed out by the NRL if they are proven to have told lies to suit their agenda.

All Wests Tigers board members (including the HBG elected ones) are present at the board meetings so this is just a load of rubbish.

Possibly.
There is also a possibility that others see this and see it as an opportunity to try and take advantage of the situation.

You are quoting one side and defending it as fact, because why would he lie...

So let's quote the other

If a board meets for a vote, then how is it possible for the independent directors to hold a secret vote and exclude members of the board? I don't even think it's legally possible....

THe Wests tigers board don't need to consult every single HBG member outside the 2 on the Wests tigers board - that's crazy talk.. It's not how business works... HBG have their 2 representatives on the Wests tigers board for that exact reason..

It's like saying that if I have stocks in Woolworths then they need to consult me on every decision... It's crazy talk bra

You know for a fact that the important decisions that DP alluded to were taken to board level ?
It sounded very much like he was insinuating they were not taken to board level and that is the issue.
 
It is obvious that the HBG were not happy with the internal review and its findings. Also it would appear they reluctantly went along with the recommendations. Only last year Julie Remano ( please excuse the spelling) was trying to pull the rug on the recommendations that were put in place. So now they throw everything out the window by chopping the independent members of the board and revert back to the lame system we had before the review.

If this was something out of the current White House I would not be surprised but to destroy all the great work done in the past 12 months because you basically have a bruised ego is insane. Even if some resolution is found and things revert back to something close to what they were a couple of days ago, our brand name has yet again taken a massive hit and there is a real chance we never recover from it.

The sad thing is if your political party stuffs up you get the chance to vote them out, with HBG you can’t do a thing, they answer to nobody

Fact - HBG have 2 members on the tigers board
Fact - Patton stated in a press release and in video that the main reason for dismissal was lack of clarity between the 2 boards / the HBG weren’t told about key issues
Fact- it’s not the independent board members responsibility to relay information to HBG. That’s Deniss Burgess job .
Fact - Patton then stated that another reason was that the wests tigers board had been manoeuvring to gain more and more independence and control over decision making , by trying to implement KPIs which move toward this outcome .
I’ve stated no facts right ? I could keep going , but I’m over it . I’ve proved my point . You’re a dickhead champ !

You are now assuming what Barry O stated today is true factual information.
The way I interpreted the comments from DP yesterday are very different.
As I keep saying the truth will be revealed and it would not look good for the HBG in the eyes on the NRL if they have lied to suit their own agenda.
