HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

If the ownership doesnt change im fully committing to the storm and WT can burn
Same…I’ve had it.. Richo and the changes got me on board for another rebuild.. I’ve been on board day and nighttime , membership, podcasts, on this forum and totally committed to richos rebulid… but these prigs from HBG are burning it all down and I cannot allow myself to be emotionally invested in a dumpster fire that has been deliberately lit by the bloody owners,, stuff that… if he goes ,, so do i .. and I’ve never ever supported anyone else..

I think this is correct and it would put a tonne of pressure on the players too.

I think we’d have to go in the direction of fans boycotting games, raising concerns directly to sponsors, boycotting memberships, HGB venues, merch post-match to give added weight.

It would be great to have former players like Chris Lawrence come along though. He spoke out so well against the personal agendas holding the club back.
Rowdy would be great...i dont think he has any official connection to the club anymore...maybe wrong.
But he could.probably kiss any future goodwill towards him if he attends.
Hes already. On recors as beng disappointed in the continual infighting maybe his papers are alreadt stamped.
Such a great clubman and the type of.person you want at the club....the epitome of bleeding for the jersey

Can anyone think of any other major contracts that hbg would have been concerned with that they didnt sign off?

We haven't had any major player signings. They've only given the stadium deal as an example. That one i question as to why they are upset - i believe its because its effectively locking in the balmain component of the JV for 15 years....mmmm....

What else? Canterbury jerseys?
I thought they may be have been ticked off Richo said we arent interested in the U.S. experiment....denis would.fit in well with all the other freaks on Vegas' main drag

Best bet would be o'farrell and the other three independants joining in legal action, though like one of the articles stated, it a purely voluntary position, why would they. Fans like you or I would as if we're wealthy enough it's about protecting something we love, pretty sure Charlie Viola is a huge Wests Tigers fan, o'farrell as well, but the 2 ladies I'm not sure. It's a whole lot of money to throw at a passion project. If I'm the directors, I'm on the phone with Mr Laundy, uncle Harry and anyone else in town to see who has an appetite for it and who maybe willing to help.
Why would they?

Their reputation?

He would actually be great on the board, with the right balance around him. Independent, has the clubs best interests at heart, has integrity and could serve as a football expert.

It would never happen though with HBG.

I couldnt follow another team...not even a new one.
Itd be not much fun being a neutral with no team to support.
If HBG conntinue and are not held to account but WTs still are active, id be still following but feel very disconnected..distant and disappointed
I’ve always wanted to see the Bears back. I think I’d jump on their bandwagon.

Yeah of course. If the club decides to offer him a position and he accepts, then nothing to stop 2 parties agreeing to terms.

For that to happen, I'm sure Richo would want an independent board at a minimum. He may not want anything to do with HBG if they are still involved though.

This is where we will lose out big time. No one will want to be part of a club with them at the helm. We'll be a pass through organisation for people to work at until they get something better.

Full of other people's rejects.
HBG out or bust.

yep. time to find a new club

Be patient, dont jump just yet. Let's see how this plays out, hopefully the NRL can do something. If they cant then I dont know how ill go. You cant just choose to support another team, you have to feel it. A team i always had a soft spot for was Norths, and I live 15 minutes from North Sydney CBD, so I guess thats an option, but I just dont see myself really caring.
