This is solely my opinion only,,, not based on anything that is not already in the public domain,,,but i think this is the do or die move for some of the cronies on the HBG board to realise their ultimate agenda … the moves made to fire the independent board which they knew would lead to Richo’s exit, and the weak explanations presented to justify it , can not be explained otherwise IMO..

Unless it was simply a poorly conceived, nostalgia driven, collective brain explosion.

99% of people here just want a club free from inept management and constant false starts. New owners would be a great start, but then you couldn't blame Balmain agendas if that happened could you?

The point was about the leaks. It is clear from what is being reported in the media that someone at the club has already started to set the conditions for the next potential move. It may not occur but sowing the seeds has already affected the team and the coaching staff. It started the minute Richo left the joint.

The only people still in control is HBG so the leaks have re emerged after disposal of WT independent board /richo. Another HBG quality

At the end of the day, one controlling entity is far better for us going forward. The trouble is the power is held amongst 20 people with their own competing agendas.

This wouldn't be an issue if the club was run with accountable leadership.

HBG sacking Benji would effectively be a declaration of war to Wests tigers fans and the NRL.. for this exact reason I think Benji is safer than ever.

Every single Skeleton in the HBG closet WILL come out. We haven't even scratched the surface and it looks like Dennis Burgess is going to get the punt..

HBG are like kids playing with matches on a 40 degree day. The wrong spark and the whole place is going up. Us fans are the fire and flames . We will metaphorically burn them to the ground.

Short term there will be turbulence... But we will get them out. We just need to be smart about it.

He hasn't lost a game in months. If Marshall does go, it'll be his decision. But why would he? Next years team is pretty much locked in - none of this should impact the footy team in the short term.

This idea that it doesnt impact the footy team is such a incorrect statement and just tries removes responsibility for these dumb decisions. The HBG CEO said the same thing.
