Unless I am mistaken, we are playing at least 7-8 games a year at Campbelltown from 2029 - what the hell is Epifania talking about? Is that not enough? Do they not want any games at Leichhardt? We are only playing 3-4 games a year there.

I got an email from the Membership Group today that they'd be happy to organise a call if I wanted. They didn't specifically offer the CEO but it was a personalised reply to my complaint email from Monday this week.

They said if I wanted to speak to someone at Tigers to discuss my complaints about the recent activity, they'd arrange a call.

In isolation, it's a good policy and could be a sign we have a CEO that can read a room. Getting a template back to an email written in frustration is beyond annoying, so well done there I guess.

Practically speaking, it's like complaining to your siblings about your parents. You might get some sympathy, but it won't change the result.

V'Landys didn't want to create a media storm by appointing an administrator. He made the agreement that O'Farrell and the other independents would be reporting directly to the NRL as a watchdog of sorts. This gave the independents enough confidence to return and gave HBG what they ultimately wanted which is board control.

I believe that, the NRL believes, it's a good solution, but it's not going to stop bad decisions being made.

Time will show their incompetence.

Do you think the three Independent Directors …just reinstated after a firestorm that had the potential to do damage to their careers …. Have decided to go back for potentially more of the same ? More aligned to Melbourne than Wests these days - personally i though the article was more about an explanation of how we are where we are now for those who don't spend their life on football forums ramming their agendas down everyones throats.

Wests Macarthur pulled out of the joint venture because Balmain & Wests Ashfield were voting as a block to ensure operations were focused on the inner west.

This same recognition of a Leichhardt history has got the CEO sacked.

Focus on the south west? Have had 25 years to do that and the first to try and build those connections was Richo.

Wests Ashfield screwed that up when they ran the Magpies for 10+ years before the merger. Absolutely hilarious to try and hear them now use that community as the basis for recent decisions

Part of me wonders if this is still all about the Tiger brand, that some old folks just can't handle that both clubs agreed the Tiger was more marketable mascot. And you could call it the Western Suburbs Lidcombe Campbelltown Tommy Raudonikis Dallas Donnelly Magpie Black & White Tigers, but they'd still rankle at having Tigers tacked on.

Surely the only increase in representation possible is 100% ownership and removal of Balmain Tigers? They are only 1 step short of that right now with 90% ownership, Balmain granted a token seat, Wests Ashfield taking on all old Balmain assets and Magpies in the NSW Cup.

Only thing left would be to excise the Tiger.

So really this does show that at least some of HBG do dream of returning Magpies in full, because they keep talking about it, how it's not yet fair.

It's the worst thing he's written. Just blind to the dysfunction in that joint. Even the title is absurd. Strongman.... People are forgetting the incredible things that Richo has accomplished. HBG don't care about winning. Winning actually feels good and can bring people together instead of harking back to the 70s to teams that never won damn thing.

I think his complaint is in regards to the perception of the club. In their minds, to the general RL public, Wests Tigers are an extension of Balmain. That’s what the old Magpies fans are still bent out of shape about. They know the Magpies are in charge, but it irks them they get no recognition. That’s the crux of their issue.
