I think the argument Wests FANS are having have been different to what I've been trying to figure out from the beginning.

What I've said regarding Wests/HBG etc all along though- if they are the majority share holder, they probably feel inclined to a bit more control than the 10% share holder. So if HBG runs the 90% share & want things done their way...

It's understandable.

Now, if it was 50-50...HBG doesn't have a majority share.

There's a lot of confusion with 90% ownership and accountability.

They're a member owned club, yet the members get no say. It isn't more complicated than that. @BlackWhiteGold has given the best and most sensible solution by far 👏

My wife converted from a roosters fan to a Wests Tigers fan and our 5y/o and 2y/o have their first “historic” WT moment lol. Hoping it turns out to be a success rather than emotional abuse 😅

Yeah, though the problem the vast majority are angry about is the removal of the mostly at arms length and independent board. A board that along with Richardson as CEO, helped to obtain further funding for our more traditional home grounds whilst increasing memberships and making a profit.

The HBG pair of representatives on WT board had their say and purportedly agreed with everything direction wise, including the new jerseys. They then decide to blow things up after the initial batch for 2026 sold out.

I hope they just do the right thing again, like in the report. Maybe with some ironed out assurances around Wests prominence, and of course, financial signoff.

Everyone has an opinion, but not all opinions are worthy of attention.

This is a plainly foreseeable response.
