Mate...we never had extremists in Australia in the past. I'd prefer we look to keep it that way. We don't need to add new issues to the ones we have/had.

Machete ownership seems to have climbed in recent years too don't you think?

We really don't need to be playing Russian roulette with people's lives to fit a narrative.

Interesting thing I picked up from the video. The son on the bridge looked like he was motioning for people off to the side to move away. Seemed like he was aiming for specific targets.

The extremist and nationalist threat is very real and in Australia. How do I know? It is included in the ASIO Annual Threat Assessment 2025


We expect nationalist and racist violent extremists to continue their efforts to ‘mainstream’ and expand their movement. They will undertake provocative, offensive and increasingly high-profile acts to generate publicity and recruit. While these activities will test legal boundaries, the greatest threat of violence comes from individuals on the periphery of these organised groups.
 
There is a very good article in the Jerusalem Post on the extraordinary bravery of this man. Some Israelis and no doubt others of the Jewish faith refer to him as righteous, which is a huge honour.

You wanted to adjust this whole issue to gun laws.

Let me tell you something. Terrorists don't give a shit about gun laws.

You pulled up an ASIO report from 2025. What is it supposed to prove exactly...it just makes my point for me if you read it. It says the threat of Islamic extremism is GROWING. That means MORE...more than we had before! Which was NOTHING.

Not sure about you, but I was born in the 80's and I never grew up thinking we had terrorist sleeper cells in our backyard let alone watching 16 people mowed down in cold blood, or some lunatic holding people hostage in Martin Place. Did you?

Here's the issue about the UN. Israel is the adopted child of the UN. Australia was the first nation to recognise Israel on 14 Nov 1948 under the PM Ben Chifley - Labor Party.

As for the nonsense about PNG, there are rules to war and that is called internation law. 125 states are party to the Rome Statute - international law. As Mr Netanyahu has discovered, there are no free passes.
