His career ave of 33 and this series ave at 23
He bowls very little which tells me the on field skipper doesn't have much confidence in him
He is a terrible starter ( very nervous )
Gets out to really stupid shots
Eg out clean bowled leaving the ball a few times
His back away to leg where he could reach the ball on middle stump
Everyone in love with his on and off drives straight down the ground to full balls .last year took great catches but can't remember one this series
Yes I think Webster is a very good all rounder ( as is Neser a bit also )

WE can win this test today. Tough day though 39deg hopefully Starc can fire first over again and Bolo runs through em with Lyon chipping in with runs and wickets.
We gifted them some wickets yesterday, jack’s should have none. Hard to be critical of the two highest scorers but fill ya boots 🥾 boys.

Yesterday I said 375 was par for Australia, I now think 475 is more like it. If we don’t break through early it’s going to be a long hot day for the Australians. Lyons will be bowling plenty of overs. I guess we do get to bowl last so that may help our chances, but I see the Poms getting plenty of first innings runs

You need a better crystal ball. Mine has Lyon and Bolo batting till after lunch and then Starc joins in for a wicket fest this arvo.

I think Root was out to Boland
Even with the close up replays it was impossible to tell 100% either way whether Carey had fingers under the ball
Root survived based on the benefit of the doubt favours the batsmen only
Then the Barmy Army who believe they are winning the Ashes morally?
Started their chant same old Aussies always cheating
How dare they ! At full speed it looked a clean catch and Carey would have felt that
Careys indecision was about whether he edged it or not which he did
Still if even slightest doubt benefit goes to Root cant argue with that .
Day 2 morning
Aust 2-45 with very bottom order
Eng 3-59 with top 3 out
I say Australia win this session

Agreed and with inconclusive evidence Iam not unhappy with the not out call but I don’t think we should lose a review either. On that track they are playing on 3-59 is an unbelievable effort. I think Boland and Lyons are the ones who will do the damage

Yes the umpires originally gave it not out as they thought batter didn't knick it if they did they would have sent it up for review
We used Drs which proved the knick
So we should not be punished for umpire error ( about the knick )
