How good was Renshaw and Wilders last night??!
I got up and watched the replays again this morning, Ren finally looked like a beast with the bat. He’s on fire this season and should have been picked instead of Weathered. These current selectors have NO idea. Sorry I was about to go on a rant, that’s the next post.
Back to REN and Wilderness I’m not sure how many 6’s they hit but I think they were trying to give everyone in the crowd a catch of the ball.

I must admit not a lover of big bash but enjoyed it last 2 nights
Scorchers get the 2nd highest score in big bash history
Cooper Connolly was amazing and then lose
Yes Renshaw is a lock for T20 World Cup coming up in India
Makes me wonder whether a Head / Renshaw opening pair for 4th test makes sense as he is obviously seeing the ball well but CA put everyone in their pigeon hole and there you stay
 
I have felt since before this test started that our batting line up has a couple of weaknesses so whos good with the bat
Head
Labuschagne ( very scratchy early when in a negative mindset )
Smith
Kwajaja
Carey
Starc
That leaves Weatherald ( gets hit on the pads a lot to full balls )
Green ( just not delivering ave 21 this year )
Inglis ( better with white ball )
Smith coming back means one of these 3 must go
However we have a few good openers Renshaw ,Kellaway , Konstas
We also have an excellent all rounder in Webster
For me next test Smith comes in for Inglis and Webster comes in for Green
Also the 3 openers above must put Weatherald on notice !
Point is to win every test and therefore put your most in form 11 on the park
 
This 4th day pitch has a bit of life
Morning session 7 wickets fell for 83 runs
Don't expect England to get 435 all ready 1 down in first 2 overs
What are the odds for an England win ?

I said to ya at the start of the season it should be Uzy and Renshaw. I’d be going with Uzy Head now, unless we need Head down the order for team balance and then Renshaw is my pick.
But selectors need to pick the right player at the start of the season not midway, like Sam last year if they pick Renshaw at the start and we’re not having this convo.

Connelly has 6 or 7 in the Australian test team written all over him. Expect he is a shoe in for the next series in the subcontinent
 
Lyon is a worry going a nearly 6 an over
Last couple of years hasn't really picked up a lot of 4th innings wickets
Head actually looked more threatening should have got one but umpire sympathetic to batter padding away no shot offered
Ball hit wicket but umpires call .same umpire gave Weatherald out
Umpires also picking on Starc also
