Can't believe some of the Lyon critcism. I had to check some numbers to make sure I wasn't dreaming the last few years: 29 wickets at 24 this year, 33 at 22 last year and 47 at 24 the year before. Not to mention the partnership work that lets the quicks rotate.

Just goes to show, despite 562 test wickets, some people simply can't get over the fact he isnt Shane Warne.

Yeah, I’ve been critical over his entire career at times, but credit where it’s due. He’s an integral part of the bowling unit and until we have a better one knocking the door down he should rarely be dropped, maybe in Perth on a green top but he has a fair record at the new oval? He was right to be filthy about missing the GABBA especially for a difference.
His second wicket in the first innings was the perfect ball and he backed it up in the second again to prove he’s no fluke and will still get hammered from some. He needs to finish the job tomorrow bcoz that’s the part everyone is critical of.

Carry is just killing it in every aspect of the game at the moment and has leadership qualities too.

Agreed re Carey. Always been a good bat but his keeping has been on another level this summer. Seems like a genuinely good guy too.

How good was Renshaw and Wilders last night??!
I got up and watched the replays again this morning, Ren finally looked like a beast with the bat. He’s on fire this season and should have been picked instead of Weathered. These current selectors have NO idea. Sorry I was about to go on a rant, that’s the next post.
Back to REN and Wilderness I’m not sure how many 6’s they hit but I think they were trying to give everyone in the crowd a catch of the ball.

Watching the Kiwi v WI game this morning, how long has it been since you seen someone get out via the periscope?
Nearly got one just then. WI 1/120 Hodge only just walked out. Hodge squats under one leaving his bat up and even gives it a little extra push and the ball comes off the back of the bat and skies into no man’s land. SMH 🤦 the basics? I’d love to see Root get out via the Periscope in the next innings. For less than 1.

I’d be watching your game now but the fkn neighbour who was mowing his lawn during the start of play yesterday, was up early this morning getting his caravan out and has woken Mrs BF and now she’s up and stomping around like she’s marching to Ashfield and has some dog show on the TV. I am not game enough to change the channel for your Kiwis I will save it for my Ozzies. 😎
That pitch had an ugly brown tinge to it yesterday, looked like a 22m long skid mark.

Reminds of when that Piers Morgan DH when he faced Binga, it’s dangerous these guys are pros. Although I think the tockticka bloke has at least been trying to prep himself, JA could probably kill some pros if he wanted to.
