Woods definitely regretted leaving. Look at his career afterwards. Retired as a reserve grader no one remembers.Of the big 4 - I would say none and of them regret leaving and Brooks probably regrets not leaving sooner.

I think he says he regrets how he left but not the leavingwoodsy has spoken about regretting leaving.
Nothing would have eventuated, we had zero leaders to show them how to win - and we’re paying them too much to have quality around them.
Nope
We pulled the contract - it’s easy to assume the final outcome, but the truth is - history will never know.
We were also a club that had been through 2 coaches and looking to get rid of a 3rd inside 5 years - had also been through 3 ceos and just paid out club captain and longest serving player 1 million dollars to play somewhere else for a year - how exactly are they supposed to respond, and how would you have them think?
I don’t disagree
with you necessarily,
or think the outcome may have been to different
- but laying it all on a bunch of young blokes because they got out of the shit show, I just won’t wear that.
After all,
almost 10 years later - we’re all still here, with the clowns at the top still playing the e same stupid games!
Moses agreed to join Roosters whilst our offer was on the table. The offer was on the table for over 9 months & Cleary did the only thing he could do. He reneged on his handshake deal with Roosters. None of Isaacs clients were staying because Jason Taylor knocked back Joe Wehbe joining the coaching staff (Wehbe was Isaacs right hand man back then). Those are facts. Isaac tried getting all 4 to the Dogs as a package but the Dogs didn’t want Brooks. Mitchell then performed his impersonation of “lay down sally” and the rest is historyNothing would have eventuated, we had zero leaders to show them how to win - and we’re paying them too much to have quality around them.

des hasler didnt want Moses at the dogs the deal was for woods and tedesco.Moses agreed to join Roosters whilst our offer was on the table. True, i hear we really have Shannon Gallant as an employed scout. More is needed in that area considering its a merged club with 2 areas to look after one being one of the biggest nurseries in the state, or at least should be.Does this not come back to the owners and the amount of money they can pour into the club., deeper pockets needed.
You know who are tighter than bream's blurter mate, needs a lot more investment in all areas of the club.True, i hear we really have Shannon Gallant as an employed scout. People have all sorts of weird ass reasons for following teamsbig problem with the Campbelltown Macarthur area is as people have moved out there to purchase homes etc they are heading out there already following another team e.g. parents followed dragons or parramatta or souths etc or as a kid they might have followed another team.
The default for the kids is not necessarily Tigers.
Isaac tried getting all 4 to the Dogs. Des didn’t want Moses as a 5/8 and definitely didn’t want to pay him what we offered but they had discussions. He had no interest in Brooks. Minichiello approached Tedesco about joining Roosters so he signed there. Des publicly said he had no interest in Moses but they did have talks. To be honest I don’t even know why we are discussing these blokes, long gonedes hasler didnt want Moses at the dogs the deal was for woods and tedesco.
As for Brooks he was never ever offered to the dogs
you made a statement about brooks offered to the dogs, I had to correct you brooks 100% was never offered to the dogs at any stage, a few othwr clubs but not dogs i was told at the time it was woods and tedesco offered as a package deal to the dogs after des clearly said no to moses.Isaac tried getting all 4 to the Dogs. Des didn’t want Moses as a 5/8 and definitely didn’t want to pay him what we offered but they had discussions. He had no interest in Brooks. haha pay that one BFPeople have all sorts of weird ass reasons for following teams
I know this one weirdo on the WTF forum, he is Ozy and goes for the Poms at cricket!!!
No you need to promote properly and get in the entire school system.I think it comes down to winning
Correct - From the mouth of Tedesco, he said of Des would relent and sign Mitch he’d have signed with the Dogsdes hasler didnt want Moses at the dogs the deal was for woods and tedesco.
As for Brooks he was never ever offered to the dogs
All I am saying is I would prefer May on his current contract with us. For Equal money I make the argument that May is the better player, the fact that we are paying him a lot less $$$ is just icing on the cake (we may have to upgrade him, fine). For a team that needs to build a forward presence : leader $1m for Keon isn’t the end of the world, Haas isn’t going to a rebuild especially for $1m.
Dragons will pay $1m plus for 2-3 players anyway Keon is the best of what is available by a mile. It solves a massive problem for them.
Who else is on the market mix that with 2 new teams and the salary cap increases = prices increase. We as fans need to realize that.
As to Keon v May most players would prefer May running at them than Keon.
Correct - From the mouth of Tedesco, he said of Des would relent and sign Mitch he’d have signed with the Dogs
there and then.
Imagine the Salary cap scandal then. They had to drop Woods very soon after signing him as Greg Eastwood was backended to 900k.Correct - From the mouth of Tedesco, he said of Des would relent and sign Mitch he’d have signed with the Dogs

surprised they let Des screw the cap at the dogs ,for the exact reason it became untenable for Des at manly.Imagine the Salary cap scandal then. They had to drop Woods very soon after signing him as Greg Eastwood was backended to 900k.
The big 3 going to the Dogs, then the Big 3 getting offloaded by the dogs!
