Of the big 4 - I would say none and of them regret leaving and Brooks probably regrets not leaving sooner.

Woods definitely regretted leaving. Look at his career afterwards. Retired as a reserve grader no one remembers.

Nothing would have eventuated, we had zero leaders to show them how to win - and we’re paying them too much to have quality around them.

We pulled the contract - it’s easy to assume the final outcome, but the truth is - history will never know.


We were also a club that had been through 2 coaches and looking to get rid of a 3rd inside 5 years - had also been through 3 ceos and just paid out club captain and longest serving player 1 million dollars to play somewhere else for a year - how exactly are they supposed to respond, and how would you have them think?

- but laying it all on a bunch of young blokes because they got out of the shit show, I just won’t wear that.

Moses agreed to join Roosters whilst our offer was on the table. The offer was on the table for over 9 months & Cleary did the only thing he could do. He reneged on his handshake deal with Roosters. None of Isaacs clients were staying because Jason Taylor knocked back Joe Wehbe joining the coaching staff (Wehbe was Isaacs right hand man back then). Those are facts. Isaac tried getting all 4 to the Dogs as a package but the Dogs didn’t want Brooks. Mitchell then performed his impersonation of “lay down sally” and the rest is history

des hasler didnt want Moses at the dogs the deal was for woods and tedesco.
As for Brooks he was never ever offered to the dogs

Does this not come back to the owners and the amount of money they can pour into the club., deeper pockets needed.

True, i hear we really have Shannon Gallant as an employed scout. More is needed in that area considering its a merged club with 2 areas to look after one being one of the biggest nurseries in the state, or at least should be.
