Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Bulla available from November 2025 to sign with others , I think,
If this is the case , so far nobody has signed him , we haven’t signed him or activated extension for 2027 , does this mean we are not to panicked if he decides to leave , or we have tabled an offer and it’s under what mosses wants but it is correct years say 4 years at $ 800 k mosses want $ 900 k or Bulla thinks he plays well start of season then dogs and co up the anti and pay him more and then upset our season for a early release , curve ball if bulla signs with say dogs this week , can we activate his 2027 deal in the cooling off period , like a counter offer but just lock him up and stuff other up

I'm stinging for more tackle busts from a new solid outside back more so than a middle forward this year I thought our forwards did OK last year. We didn't get much on the back of Staines, Naden and yea, AD, in either direction. It was pretty miserable at times watching our spine running out of ideas and steam.
a full season of Taylan will help and only a matter of time until Makasini is playing regular grade, so plenty of tackle busts to go round there. the issue is depth. I think 3/5 of our starting back five in Cup are on T&T deals, although one (Attard) moves to development in 27.

middles I just think we need someone to start off our sets. Terrell is not a play one front rower. out of our current lot it's probably Fonua but he's got some work to do given the way he finished the year, which has me looking at what's out there.

gotta remember that we had to effectively reinvent ourselves midway thru the year given we'd built the attacking structures around Galvin. by the end of the year they were in a much better place. would anticipate we build on a lot of that.

How many 4th string halves at other clubs are as good or better than him ?
He is no superstar, but as good as you can get for a 4th string halve.
I’m guessing he chose to come back to Wests Tigers backing himself to win a regular NRL spot if he plays his best on a consistent basis.
I think it’s highly unlikely he will play well enough to be our starting 7, but he could be an option off the bench as a halves or hooker option, particularly if one of our other 3 halves are out injured.
You didn’t say he was 4th string, I did.
You called him a ‘very good’ NRL half…
That’s not 4th string.

Very good (your words) NRL halves - don’t play 4th string at the Tigers.
Despite how good you think they are.

I don't think anyone can actually sign him till the option expires mid-May, doesn't stop his manager gauging interest or sneaky offers.

Yea! Cop out!! Sick of all these people blaming all our problems on talented players leaving our club. What kind of excuse is that??? Totally weak as! If we had a predominately black jersey with a white V we wouldn't be in this mess. Thank god we got rid of that guy who had never had success as a CEO and we've resumed normal service with our proven ideas that are our heritage. Players should be expected to trust and dedicate the best years of their careers into something we will undermine every 18 months, that should always remain our key negotiating principle, no matter what month it is. Total cop out to suggest anything else.
😂😂

Bula is not at fault for stalling the negotiation process.
Forcing him to make a decision based on the clubs poor decision making would be dumb as. It's perfectly understandable for his people to sit back and see what is actually happening at board level before committing.
he didn't commit when the independent board was in place and things were looking on the rise all round so to blame it all on the brain explosion by hbg is a cop out as i said before.

He's very good 4th string though.

Of all the 4th string halves, he's right up there.

It’s just a theory I’m putting forward … what’s your explanation for the delay ? I expect it’s from his end and not the club’s…. The new CEO and Benji would be gagging for Bula to re-sign
I think the complete capitulation of the boardroom and loss of CEO then most businesses basically shutting down over Xmas would more likely be the reason for the delay

The WTs were reportedly negotiating a new contract with different terms.. Until that was sorted there was no signing on the dotted line.
The curve ball no doubt has stalled everything.

Yep think its clear he (and moses) think he's going to start the season well and be worth more than what's being offered. They will get other offers to leverage position here. So far no decent ones have come up so no harm in waiting, unless he gets injured...

Did or will the HBG decision to blow the board up and result in our CEO resigning affect anything in your opinion?
I'm sure it will and it may very well have had an effect on Bula's negotiation - i don't know whether that is the case or not nor does anyone on here. But to say that the board rubbish in December is the be all and end all to Bula's negotiations is coming to a rather simplistic conclusion when supposedly he had an offer on the table for quite a while, if we can believe Richardson, and he chose to do nothing.
