HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

Thanks for the quote...hopefully youbcan explain the relevance
Business, Business, Business ...

Using the most profitable ground enables the club to do the right thing with regard costs to fans. All kids enter free when accompanied by an adult 👍

A whole generation of new, young Wests fans.

Agghh, takes me back to my youth when all kids entered Liddy Oval free - just as long as one of your posse remembered to bring the wire cutters.

Sounds like it was quite some time ago

I didnt discuss onfield performance, so I am not sure what you are on about?

I clarified that the directors didnt leave by choice, they were punted.
Incorrect.
Multiple people posted that our former CEO and a couple of board members departing would be having a negative effect on our players.
"Our former CEO and couple of board members departing".

Lets be clear on what happened:
4 x INDEPENDENT DIRECTORS WERE SACKED LESS THAN 11 MONTHS AFTER BEING APPOINTED.

You continue to try and rewrite what happened to make it sound like they left on their own accord.. THEY DIDNT!

Seems confusing. You responded to a statement that losing the CEO & board members wouldn't have an impact on the players. Didn't realise you were changing the subject- sorry mate.

Perhaps, but one side of the argument is supported by evidence, the other is not.
Pretty much the WHOLE argument has been based on assumptions.

Beyond the fact that board members were removed- pretty much every statement since has been based around an assumption- not evidence.

I’m confused?
My belief is the playing group are not effected when a couple of board members who they would not even recognise are no longer part of the board.
Similar with the CEO, as long as they get along well with the replacement CEO they are not going to lose any sleep over the previous one departing.
Our team certainly won’t perform any worse or any better because of it cone round 2.

The managers are the ones that are watching what happens at board level because they know the difference between a well run organisation and a poor one. The players may not be directly impacted, but an unstable environment has managers looking elsewhere when options present themselves.
IF we make the top 8 this season we will become one of the top destination clubs in the NRL.

We will become a top destination club when we have the right people representing the club in and off the field.
So you think if we make the top 8 in 2026 that players we are negotiating with to recruit will think to themselves, “hang on a minute this a a team on the rise with a very good young playing roster, but I can’t sign with them because their owners are known to make some bad decisions” ?

Canberra making the 8 quite regularly. Seem to have good systems in place and are quite a stable club. What will make the Tigers more desirable than the raiders?
Sydney based, a good young playing roster with plenty of improvement in them and a younger, inexperienced coach who has plenty of scope to keep improving.

Yes. Exactly that. Employees worry about bad management because one day things could be rosy and the next they've blown up the board, the CEO has quit and 7 of our best players start calling their managers asking to find them a club unless Benjis job is safe.

Fixed it for you.Credit where credit is due but HBG are a constant failure.

Good players have options. Of course managers target well run clubs for their clients - they breed and maintain success - recruit and retain well and do not have 12 year rebuilds
The keys have been thrown into Benji's lap and if he fails their is not much else that will keep the players at WTs and as much as I admire Benji he has no control over the nonsensical decisions that happen at board level.

Absolutely
Players and managers have seen a dysfunctional administration over a number of years. Players can have no confidence that what they sign up for can be guaranteed to be in place by the time they turn up for training

The joint has proven that with how many coaches in the last 10 years

How many board members/chairpersons sacked
What happened to the independent board that HBG endorsed but didn’t last despite achieving positive outcomes that HBG could never achieve
HBG then extends a novice coach to calm a player revolt

No no no HBG have no effect on Wests Tigers or their objectives or players or managers. Delusional
