One benefit of Bula coming off is there is no shortage of FB’s.

Look I get that when you hire a player, it may work and it may not.

Clearly we took a risk on Jack Bird and then seemed to want to punt him round 18.
We should have seen better performance from Jack. Unsure if he was brought as a Lock rather then a back, well he was no lock.

Lomax isn't getting 400k in rugby. If he was getting wouldn't have turned them down a couple of months ago. About half that, unless he gets a top up with Wallaby selection. I doubt he'll get near them though, but then again rugby is in dire straits these days

I'm quite good friends with The Bula family and they love Benji and want to stay. I have personally spoken to Jahream who said he's not going anywhere but just making sure clauses are in place if HBG pull any further stunts.

That's good to hear about Bula and hope you're on the money. I really want him to stay.

I still believe Bula will re-sign with us, but as I keep saying that is largely up to his own performance in rounds 2-10 this season as it’s no secret we are willing to give him the contract value and length of contract he is looking for IF he shows us he is worth that money early this season.
The reason I say rounds 2-10 or early this season is because it’s obvious Bula and us would both like to know where we are heading by that time at the latest.
The other factor that many of our supporters are overlooking is that IF Bula decides to leave us for the Bulldogs, there would be no doubt his manager would then be strongly pushing or advising us NOT to take up our option for 2027.
So it’s either extend with us well past 2027, or depart at the end of this season.
