Your team vs Souths - Admins = can someone start a 2026 NRL season tab

Can only assume Skelton had an interrupted pre-season while LL earned the coaches admiration. I though a few of LL’s errors were a bit unlucky and he showed genuine care factor in his reactions.

With the May injury I assume they both start rd 3.

Big job for Skelton and Turuva up against Trell next week.
I would have Skelton in the side LL on the 6 man bench

Perhaps Skelton did , but if so it didn’t seem to impact him yesterday …

Someone jokingly made a comparison that Luke’s hands reminded them of Junior Tupou … I mean that guy has some of the worst dropsies I’ve seen ..but Luke was as bad yesterday … maybe it’s a one off …he is only 20 I guess…

I’m hoping Toa or May are back …maybe give Luke a bit more opportunity to work on his game in the Cup..but if both are out then I agree that Luke will likely play,,,,
Hes always been like that..and dodgy under the high ball
Cant understand any circumstance where he wld be preferred over Skelton

We need him on the bench every week incase luai or douhei go down. The days of api moving to the halves are gone. Itll only be for another 2 weeks until Latu is back and he will take back the the #14 position
But he needs game times , he can’t just sit there for weeks and expect him to be any good

I'd have Royce on the bench, but beyond that I think this is the one.

an intriguing match up. Souths were bashed by the Chooks on the weekend and beat a very poor Redcliffe side first time out.

I hate to say it but a lot of this will come down to officiating. if we're on the end of a stack of set restarts we'll struggle to claw them back. if it swings our way or it turns into a grind, I'd back us to get it done.

whoever's marking Latrell is just going to have to hold on for dear life and wait for the cover defence. I'd have us as certainties to win if Taylan was playing, but I'd say he's slim to none on that and Starford's still a ways off.

Do you think there is a world where Benji rotates his unused players from last round (Madden, Hope, Geyer) with similar type players as part of match fitness strategy? Possibly with Charlie Murray, Bunty Afoa and Heath Mason coming in.
not yet I'd think mate. R4 we play Friday 6pm and then Cup play at 5pm the day after in Sydney, so I'd say those who haven't had much gametime will get a blowout then.

I'm not convinced Luke is quite ready for first grade and definitely don't think he is ready to go up against Souths backline.

Interestingly, Mitchell only got the ball 9 times last weekend.

No matter how outclassed- if he only gets 9 touches, I'm hopeful the Tigers can defend him well enough to not get blown away.

Skelton & Turuva are not great defenders, but Turuva is a bit like a gnat & can be a pest until help arrives. For that reason, Turuva plays centre unless To'a is passed fit.

I think Heath Mason probably picks up the bench spot due to his versatility.
