Bulldogs are a very average team that are going to be extremely hard to beat all year with the NRL refereeing support they're getting.
There's the obvious penalties, 6 agains, foul play interpretations , but there's also the more subtle allowing them to move way early in defence while holding the opposition back, forward pass interpretation, ruck speed etc.
Referees have never had such power in the history of the game, all so that the NRL can manipulate the narrative to their own commercial ends.
Said it all along, the dogs have cheated their way off the bottom. Granted they have got super fit and the attitude of the players is first class, but the line speed they have is impossible maintain all game week after week unless your offside. I have no idea why the refs have allowed and continue to allow it.
Their lack of class and x factor is the elephant on the room .the Raiders were diabolical with their discipline and ball control. Yet the Dogs didnt look like putting points on them. Yes it was poor conditions, but this isnt a one off. This is a regular thing.
Their consistent best player, is oddly the the one they need to upgrade in Tracey, or at least thats who they see as needing to upgrade.
Everyone knows Galvin is not a 7. Currently he is a 6, but his willingness last night to take tough carries highlights his future is at 13.
Like many have said, they are hard to beat and will make the 8, but they really have nothing outside of fitness and a free run with the refs
