Looking at the back line for the wahs game we definitely need some more marquee backs

Our first choice starters in Starford & Taylan are out.
Our depth has always been an issue at centre.
We are seeing that at the moment.
Our options are essentially Patrick Herbert and William Craig.
We need better back up options and always have.

Tell me who has 2 first grade quality centres waiting in ressies for an injury.

The quality drops in depth
Penrith have Tago and the other McLean bro, as well as the John Fonua guy.

Agreed, though if Herbert isn't ready to play NRL in round 4, why on bloody earth was he signed up to our top 30!
I'm sure he'd play, just not sure how well
Be interesting to see how he returns.
Edward Kosi was on the wing for south's cup team the other day and he was woeful. They won but he was slow and not involved.
Penrith, broncos and storm are outliers. Most other clubs cant compete with their depth.

Back to the old chestnut of not enough first grade standard players to go around...
Not going to get better with the expansion of the game, IMHO.
Missing May big time, hope he’s back soon. I’d like to see Herbert given a chance, see what he can do.

No issue with Mason.
Not sure what his best position is though.
I wouldn't consider him a centre or winger option though.

Skelton had a very ordinary game with his hands 🙌
Maka is only really young and should be getting blooded on the wing. (Injury to our centres not helping his development)
Luke.L has good leg speed and imo would be our best winger
(Pity he is leaving)
Turuva better defender as a centre than what he has shown as a winger, in attack the opposite better winger.

When May & To’a are fit and available I would like to see Maka & Luke.L on the wings,
With Turuva on the bench to cover Fullback,Wing or Centre if required.

We are in better shape with our Centres, its just bad luck with injuries now. That's footy. I still think we should swap out one of our wingers for a veteran centre that's played 100 games. Not even a great one, just a solid pro will do. He can fight with Toa for the other starting spot when he's not injured.
Anyways, our young fullback is in his 4th season now, apparently holding out for 900k. That's what Latrell is on. You'd think with all those back to back sets of 6 we had in that 2nd half he could have made his case for those wages, but he didn't.
We are heading into this match against the wah's feeling light on ammo when we have this supposedly gun fullback in our squad. I think that's really telling. I don't feel like the Wah's are losing any sleep over his inclusion in our squad. And we're not expecting him to make any difference either.
Like brooksy, if he gets injured, and our performances don't drop off or change much much with him out of the side, I think that will do me.
