It’s very simple, teams that win premierships have fullbacks who have elite attacking talent, we don’t have one and supposedly don’t want one, so don’t whinge when we cannot score points against good defensive teams.

You'll find that most fullbacks who play in grand finals can defend. Something Purdue and Drinkwater cannot. We have the 2nd best defence in the comp.

When looking at stats of Bula’s metres gained, factor in that most of those metres are from kick returns and very rarely if ever breaking a tackle or even looking likely to break a tackle from kick returns.
Opposing teams kick to our fullback more than any other fullback as he just dawdles when running the ball back and is no threat of making a line break.
Because of this his average run metres are enhanced.
Remember when Turuva filled in at fullback, he was making well over 200 run metres per game without a problem and at least he occasionally broke a tackle or looked like he was a chance of making a line break.

Kick return metres are important to get a team on the front foot.

You have already been caught out making false statements about bula's defence.

So if you are going to refer to stats to use against Bula, please do us the courtesy and provide us with the breakdown of the metres gained that arent from kick returns of both himself and those you are comparing him with. Or are you just making it up again?

Most opposing teams kick to the Fullback on last so I don't see your point here? That's like saying most of the wingers metres come from yardage carries.

Have a look at the past 10 NRL Grand Fjnaks and have a think about how many fullbacks have been big stand outs for their winning team if not getting the player of the match.
Bula can’t even stand out against a defensive, injury depleted Eels team and when was the last time he showed enough attacking flair tj even be close to getting man of the match ?
His good games are about as regular as Starford Toa’s good games, we are not winning finals games with either of those 2 in our team,

Drinkwater is 10 times the attacking player and attacking threat that Bula is.
We would instantly go from a clunky, boring attacking team, to a dangerous attacking team if we had Drinkwater at fullback instead of Bula.
Surely you cannot be impressed with Bula’s lacklustre performance against the Eels ?
He’s had one better than average attacking game all season, not good enough and he’s showing no signs of improving.

Im expecting more from him ...in both attack and defense

Hes never there when a trys scored...Ive read Jolls reasons, I dunno he HAS to be there to help out
And so many half breaks, not quite fast or strong enough to get thru the line when he should

He needs to lift

Think he is getting better over the season …the half break thing is strength related …he doesn’t seem to be getting stronger and I assume they are trying to work on it ..

Edwards is an elite attacking fullback as he plays tough, with hunger, aggression and always runs the ball extremely hard with purpose.
Edwards knows how to seeep at high speed and create numbers.

Drinkwater can certainly attack, via ball playing or broken field running. However, his defense is questionable.

Trod on. We had 3 back to back spoons and 14th. If you arent happy playing finals after our drought then nothing will ever please you.
