It’s a relationship role. He’s travelled the world and been around big clubs. Maybe even has good relationships with Samuela and May, who are probably holding the most cards right now.

HBG love to save a buck unless it applies to their annual salary.There is probably at least 1 decent person amongst them all but they would be no hope of ever getting a real position of power at the club.

Maybe...but that's how I predict this will go due to the money on offer. From the reports, PNG will have their pick of player. It won't be who PNG misses out on, it will be who missed out on PNG. Lot's of players happy to go there. You'd better believe our boys will take up the opportunity if presented.

Estimated wages for season 2027 and beyond once we take into consideration wage increases for players we want or need to retain and these estimated wages are being conservative as I think at least a few of them are or will be slightly higher;

** So for our top 18 players we will be paying 10.6 million which means even with a salary cap increase to 12 million that we would only have 1.4 million left to play the remaining 12 top 30 players.
That in itself does not work as the minimum wage allowed to pay top 30 players is at least 150k, I have a feeling it is becoming higher than that and the minimum wage for top 30 players will be 160 or 180k for 2027 and beyond.
This shows we need to cut our top 18 players wages somewhere just to be salary cap compliant.

We now have to offer upgrades to every player we want to keep long term, otherwise we face the real possibility of losing multiple players by 2028.
