I don’t think he’s worth that personally but now that we lost Jarome it’s like they’re using the $1.2m from him and overpaying for everyone bc they messed up.

Yes it’s great we’re making these signings but at what price? Panicking bc Jarome left and using his money may bite us in the backside later

Also it’s not like they had a choice in the end.

I’m all for it and being positive it just annoys me that if other people were running the club I reckon we would’ve saved probs $500k across the three contracts extended this week

Possibly but the dilution of talent with the 2 new clubs means we are picking the least worst option. Keeping a well performing squad together on overs or starting from scratch on overs?

Weedkiller did not mention a figure .., so what are you basing this on that we overpaid for Bula ? It could be the case but we don’t know …

The time pressures work against Bula and Moses too… and no doubt Moses had some incentive for to get a deal done so he could pocket his commission..

There was a time just as recent as 12 months ago when they would offer overpayments and the player would take less to go to other clubs

But none of us have any idea about third party deals and how many $$$ (if any) from third party deals are included in specific contracts . So without any official details, it's nothing but guess work from you re these contracts. Pointless.

Terrell May, Taylan May, Jahree Bula. Thats not a bad start to the retention drive. Sam Fainu, Sunia Turuva, Latu Fainu, Makasini, Pole the others we need to lock down. Its a really good sign club focusing on retention rather than luring free agents.

think turuva stays, seems pretty happy

if anything Pole to Storm at some point to play with his brother might be the risk.
If that happens tigers can recover if all we lose is Pole.

3rd parties don’t matter to us. It’s what’s on the salary cap. I’m all for players getting more 3rd parties.

It will be on the cap for sure.

After Keon got that at the drags and then with Jerome announcement - we had no cards to play.

If the deal had been done before Xmas like Terrell said Richo was onto before both those things Happened I reckon he signs for maybe $850/900k.

Every $100/150k we save on the bigger contracts the better.

Same as Bula.

I thought my Richo was the best signing we had made. And it burns that now we celebrate if we pay more

That’s all

Like if it comes out we paid bula and TM 1.1m per year I’m sure everyone we’ll be like awesome

I just think we could’ve gotten a better result. And I want the best for the club so we can win premierships
