OFFICIAL Jahream Bula #269

Was just reading the news about Bula, what a surprise, like a lot of others I thought he was gone considering how long it took, must admit I was getting annoyed and called him a fool and to wake up.

Maybe his ears were burning and jolted him into action lol, hope we didn't break the bank that's the only concern.

Well 3 out of 4, with the fourth contributing to the ability of WT to resign the other three (after helping create a winning culture in the club) with spare change that can go towards locking up the Fainus & others.

Win - Win - Win in my opinion

Just his manager leveraging other teams. And probably the club not willing to go to a certain amount because of Romeys salary . Also I’m assuming TPAs that were Romeys , would be transferred over to Bula.
My only issue with all this . Is Bula another Luke Brooks ie. he’s not capable of being the face of the franchise . Because when you’re on the big bucks that’s exactly what you are .
There’s definitely a quiet humility with him . My guess is , the club has identified the May bros and AD to lead the club.

Here's a theory ... Luai's move has been on the cards all year and maybe longer. The bosses at WT knew about it but kept it under wraps until he signed. That opened the door for the Mays to re-sign and now Bula. No Moses conspiracy just smart leadership and cap smarts from Benji and co. What do you think?
With HBG's history smart leadership doesn't really come to mind, if you ask me, it was all Benji and co.

Well, they were probably smart enough to stay out of it and let Benji work his magic.

On price…Drinkwater reportedly signed for 1m at the Dragons. You’d say Bula and Drinkwater are in the same ballpark of quality, particularly considering Bulas age. We will also have a very cheap halves pairing when Luai leaves. 1m ish seems like a fair outcome for all parties

As has been mentioned .. the ratchet clause will be key .. I’m sure he will have one.., you want him at $1m a season after 2028 .. not next year and before the expected 20 percent salary cap increase

Having said that … it is was it is

Drinkwater is a mess defensively . In just about all categories for fullbacks. People forget this all the time when making comparisons.

The thing people need to remember is we had a contract with Luai agreed which means the cap holds had to remain until Luai advised otherwise.
His agreement enables a cascade of cash to be enabled to be used instantly for us to pivot who our marquee players now become.

Come on, we all know Alex Seyfarth is the face (and hair) of the club!! 😉

Typical Danny Wanker exclusive. He will be zipping on his three layers of puffer jackets right now to interview Gus on Channel Nein so Gus can save face on losing out on Bula while something creamy drips off Danny's chin.

Anyone notice the magic word here: "But Moses has shown maturity and professionalism to do what he usually does – put his client first." Surely it is Isaac's job to always put his client first. What are you saying Danny?

It will be more like "we were never interested" from Gus.

wtf has it got to do with HBG ? Talk about glory hunting …. It would be so on brand for HBG to claim credit for anything football operations wise . Imagine having your head shoved so far up your own arse where you could possibly think that with all the bullshit you’ve caused over the past at very least 6 months , but really 8 years , that a 24 year old footy player who’s openly said that Benji is the main reason they love this club and the culture he’s built , is re-signing with your club is because of the geriatric nursing home that is HBG….. yes totally ….its a testament to Benji , which I’m sure he’s learnt off sheens and Wayne , how to shield the football operations from these parasites .
But like I said … could it be anymore on brand for you dickheads to claim credit … talk about delusions of grandeur …
Oh, and before you Mensa graduates tell me that of course HBG had nothing to do with Bula re-signing . . . . I know. They also had exactly the same to do with him NOT re-signing.

It will be on the cap for sure.

After Keon got that at the drags and then with Jerome announcement - we had no cards to play.

If the deal had been done before Xmas like Terrell said Richo was onto before both those things Happened I reckon he signs for maybe $850/900k.

Every $100/150k we save on the bigger contracts the better.

Same as Bula.
are you an economist - you do a lot of reckoning.
