My proposal would be

3 points if you win in regular time. If you win outright.

1 point for each team at full time if you draw. For golden point, you play on for that extra point.

That way all results over 80 minutes have equal value. Results and performances scale out on the ladder. And teams that play well over 80 minutes but don't win golden point still get a reward compared to a team that gets belted by 50 over 80 minutes. It also downgrades situations where teams are better at executing field goals than say, ya know... playing actual footy.

There is only one flaw...what happens if Golden point finishes a draw? Then you only share 2 points from 3.

Your system is correct, but you need to increase total match points to 4 for it to work.

He has become very Snarky for some reason though. Not sure what's changed this year but the constant dig at fans is just pure arrogance.

Unless you are coaching at Q cup level then he is far more qualified than most on here. He breaks down player movement (eyes, turning shoulders in or out, feet movement & reactions) which most people miss. I enjoy his analysis & sure some is basic observation. I don’t get a know it all vibe from him at all. I would love to sit & watch a game with him tbh. We are all entitled to our opinions though.

If I'm watching the footy with someone, just want to watch it unless there's a break in play, I don't want to be annoyed by any commentary while concentrating on the game, but that's just me.
 
Plenty of different WT fan voices out there on a variety of podcasts/platforms nowadays, so many, that it becomes increasingly harder to fit those voices into a week as each one passes.

I appreciate the efforts of each and every one of them for bringing their expertise, knowledge and/or passion to us, as I do with my fellow forumers on here, whether we agree or not.

Easy, If it finishes in a draw, no one gets the extra point. Teams still get the point from the draw over 80 minutes.

Yes, but now the match only gives 2 points total. But the match started with 3 points available. So 1 point just disappears and is allocated to no one, so now all matches are not worth the same amount of points.

You flagged yourself how your method factors that all match points are allocated to someone regardless of the result, but you forgot the draw after an extra time result.

To achieve your goal, you'd need 4 points on offer for the match. The draw would be 2 points each. Extra time loss 1 point and extra time win 3 points. Win in normal time is 4 points.

I like his commentary but really cannot understand his grudge towards NBWT from Twitter, NBWT possibly the most consistent fair and unbiased posters I have seen yet adel seems to take issue with them constantly… really odd as they both seem to love the club and be knowledgeable in their respective fields of interest…

Genuinely is a really great guy. I've learnt a lot from listening to him.
