Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Latu has to be developed, otherwise we've wasted our time with his progress.

Then there's Karnib, Van Drie and also Kanaan that are the future. Excellent juniors that we might lose.

Conner Watson is a great player but he will ultimately be another band aid, but not the solution.
I don't see any of those players as potential first graders. If they work their asses off and keep improving every year then maybe one day they'll get there. But they're all very small and lacking in various areas

You always sign the best players you can. If others emerge then players move on to make room for them

Do you think Karnib has shown much at Ball? Granted he was injured last year but still. Is Van Drie big enough to be a realistic NRL player? He is tough as nails but a stringbean. Kanaan certainly has the speed and could be anything.
@rihannafan1 and @Demps I think they will all grow into their bodies; they're all still young.

I also didn't realise that Kanaan was pinched by the Panthers at the beginning of April. I thought he might have been out injured.

That's a big loss for us.

Karnib can play wing or centre, Demps. What impresses me most, though, is his leadership qualities.

This try is unreal -

I think you're dreaming.

Did Josh Feledy play well?

He was pretty ordinary here ..but we have seen that movie before with Tommy Talau and Wakeham ..
He put a great shot on someone, came out of the line and nailed whoever it was with the ball. That hair is a deadset shocker though. Imagine looking in the mirror everyone morning and saying to yourself “alright, let’s do this”.

He also bombed a try with a shit pass to his winger in the second half. Conditions were no excuse for NRL level.

The kid has a strong carry, and surprisingly hard to pull down for his size. And that's the thing that will ultimately hold him back for mine. When Manly were walking out of the sheds on tele, he was clearly the midget of the group. He'll never be a week to week NRL centre for mine. Fringe first-grader.

Still only 21. Yet another kid who at Wests Tigers who made an NRL debut long before he was ready - a week shy of his 19 birthday. Remember his first game in 2023, and the other he played for the club. Admittedly were very weak Wests Tigers teams, but he was out of his depth. He's only just now on a more equal footing strength-wise to other NRL players.

I said it when he was here....Feledy can have a career as a Dene Halatau type player. Off the bench providing leg speed through the middle while providing cover for hooker and centre if injuries strike during a game. His power and leg speed through the middle can be handy in the right team
