Soccer Super Thread

Also players to watch of course Ronaldo, Messi, Kane, modric will play their last world cup but heaps of young talent
Haaland
Guler
Yamal
Bellingham
Yildiz
Mbappe
Gyokeres
Etc

Can't wait

For the socceroos if we get out of the group stage that will be a huge achievement
Don't forget we're in the group of death
All the teams in our group are in the top 40 world rankings

USA 16th
Turkey 22nd
Australia 27th
Paraguay 40th

West Ham 14 more points and 28 better goal difference than the 18th placed team last season. Any stat gurus know the highest points achieved by a relegated team?
Answering my own question 🙋‍♂️, ironically West Ham hold the record for a 20 team competition being relegated in 2002/03 with 42 points.

West Ham - the manager is staying:

Nuno Espirito Santo is staying at West Ham after their relegation to the Championship, the club have confirmed.

Have we ever been to a WC where we weren’t in a group of death. I think if we get through it will be a minor miracle , but I do like Popovic as a coach.
Good luck Aussies !
