I am very happy if we have signed Averillo. Out and out gun with the ball in hand. He is what we wish To'a was. All you have to do is give him a little bit of space and he can blaze down the sideline.

No reason why Averillo can’t put himself in the frame for the 6 when Luai leaves, AD wasn’t expected to play in the halves ever again about a year ago.

However, it’s stupid to say he’s Luai’s replacement because mostly been a centre in the NRL.

Averillo can cover fullback which is something we desperately need, so he's worth more to us.

We always take as gospel whatever is reported money wise for a player despite numerous times those figures have been proven to be journo fantasy or at the very least not what the deal actually is on the cap. When will we learn to ignore these public figures? Anyone who is anyone says how wrong they always are and they are always over inflated for effect. If they are saying Averillo is on average 675k a year, you can bet your life its closer to 500 or 550k

The very good news is that even if To'a stays he is no longer expected to be the first choice centre. He has clearly been replaced. Next we need to sign some experienced forward depth to put Royce and Seyfarth on notice.

the Football Department would leave the door open for Averillo to ‘trial’ at 6 after Luai without committing to it. Javon for mine is the guy there but competition for spots is never a bad thing.

as for Latu, I think the plan is for him to still be the long term 7, it’s just what that looks like in the medium term.

Hope To’a doesn’t get the cal up this weekend - he’s flat enough at the best of times, he’ll be more horrible after the news we’ve upgraded on him.

Nah man . I don’t think so . Godinet is starting to really do damage at flegg level , and as his body matures , and he gets older that rapid growth could be and probably will be exponential.
A big offseason , and he would be knocking on the door come February next year .
It will be interesting as the club tip toes him into KOE the next few months . Same with Duncombe , JTM and others .
Roberts is getting the same treatment right now in the nrl team . There’s 2 right there , although the story with Roberts is he will end up in the middle one day . But that could be a couple of years away.

Man that’s probably true . But in the negotiation phase exactly what I suggest was said is most likely true . The question would have been asked and the answer would have been as such . In the end iron sharpens iron , so the more guys battling it out , the stronger position the club is in .
