I’m predicting KPP will be the only one of our 4 edge players who will hold his own and break even or better with his opponent and I can’t see the Tavana against Jenkins match up ending well for us either.

I doubt it's true but there is a rumour going around that the club may offer Schuster a min wage deal prior to June 30.
I don't hate the idea of giving him a t and t or development contract for next year. I don't want to give him a half year contract as one I don't think he makes any difference to our edge this year and two if he does it risks giving him an opportunity to show he still has it to then sign elsewhere.

You have forgotten how pathetic he was for us on his edge in defence.A thousand times no from me.

We are all aware the team is short an edge whilst samuela is out..

But you realise its a top 30 with a salary cap right? If we signed every second string player you wanted, we'd have a squad of 50. Luciano was here and it didnt work out.. why would we make the same mistake again?

Sounds like something we'd do. Benji has shown he loves a reclamation project on a T&T.

I've been saying for years Luciano is a middle forward who should be coming off the bench for impact. If Hunt leaves a year early, Luciano would be a very good replacement as a middle only. Game is too fast for him on an edge, but his mobility in the middle and offloading talent would be a big asset.
 
Luciano wold be a great get at 400k with the Dragons chipping in
His only future in the NRL is as a 25 minute impact player, if his ego can handle it, or it's the ESL
Gives in game injury second row cover too, should never start a game on the edge anymore
Perfect Hunt or Seyfart replacement

Luciano never got dropped once while he played for us as his form was always solid with the few high quality games each season.
We are badly needing an extra edge back rower to start when we have an injury and preferably one who can also play as a middle and provide good impact off the bench when we are full strength.
Both Luciano and Shawn Blore fit that description, but I would guess Luciano would be willing tto sign for less than what Blore would be due to his age.
Yes we have Ethan Roberts and Tony Sukkar waiting in the wings and also Phoenix Godinet emerging, but it would appear Benji is not confident enough to start any of them just yet and there are no guarantees he will be in 2027 either.

Even if we need better …why is Luciano the answer ? His own team now doesn’t think he is

He didnt get dropped in a team that progressively got worse.. finished 11th, 13th and 16th while he was here..

Using that logic we should go sign Kyle flannagn.
