Alex Seyfarth #232

Some players seem to be able to hit and stick, especially forwards. Is it a grip strength issue or just poor technique?. Seyfarth has been around long enough to sort out his technique. That try where he enveloped Kiraz and just fell off is unforgivable for me....as bad, if not worse than Skeltons pass in the in goal.

I was prepared to give AS the benefit of the doubt cos he was playing on the left side. He more often than not plays on the right edge and I just thought he was discombobulated being in that space. But then I saw it again ... and he was just hopeless.

Can’t get comments like this.

Coachable? His errors are consistent and never ending!

Hole runner? He gets flexed every time.

On a cheap deal as a back up middle, I can cop him, seems to have a good attitude. Incredibly limited player though and can’t handle the edge. Also thinks he’s a skill player at times.

If we are in big end of season games he’s a moral to cost us.
i agree with most of this, i say coachable in that i think that he, for the most part does exactly what benji tells the team to do, hes just not talented enough to do it consistently and again i agree he gets flexed but alot of the time he was the only one running the right line, (not so much this year as we seem to have improved across the board), which led to some tries for him

I say Seyfarth has hit his ceiling but look at Twal you never know

It's a young man's game but in the forwards it takes longer to develop
twal improvement started 3 years ago though u could tell he was running onto the ball much better than usual
seyfarth has improved slightly as well it feels like he used to die with the ball as soon as he gets it but this year hes actually dragging players with him while he didnt do that at all in previous season so i think some team will pick him up and he will do ok for them

I’m one who believes Seyfarth is worth a spot in our top 30 and play a roll in our a game day squad. However I don’t think the narrative/comparison of Twal improving out of sight is equal at all.

Seyfarth is an ok middle with some passion but lacks fundamental skills to be anything more. Could he improve his technique and use his shoulders instead of whatever hes currently doing, maybe but that’s up to Benji and his team.

Twal went through a rough patch after being injured and our team winning 3 spoons. He always had skills and was a starter for us since 2018. Never once in his avg. patch of form did we think wow this guy sucks. He was merely not as potent in attack as he showed in his first 2 years and this year.

TLDR stop comparing Seyfarth and Twals ability/journey they aren’t the same or even close imo

No problem with Seyfart here. It's just the dollar value.
His real value is about 200k
Ideally he plays five or six games a year off the bench and only at prop when injuries hit

Yet another example and another game of this imposter wearing our jersey.

Only at the Tigers would this embarrassment have a a spot in the top 17 and being given significant minutes.

“But..but… he’s a a hard worker and trains well”. Give me a break, I’m tired of seeing this flop in our colours.

Alex was alright start of the season but he seems like he is a last 15-20 minute of the game injection type of player. We simply don't have the depth, we need a massive cleanout. Hopefully a team is happy to sign him for 2 years

He's playing like he knows he's not wanted, hope the rumours are true then good riddance, we aren't going anywhere with players of his ability.

No offence mate, but that took way to long to recognise. 😀

Luia would look good in black and white me thinks. Adds little on the field
I thought i saw potential in him... but some of the missed tackles these last few weeks have been woeful. Its disappointing because I really did hope he would prove everyone wrong this year.
