Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

That’s my point we don’t make money there

The major concern should be winning football games …not restricting the amount of money you lose to save the owners from having to dig into their poker machine profits …

Aren’t they supposedly gunna make more money out of Leichhardt after the renovations with a bigger capacity and space for more corporates?

Yes we love to over complicate things.
The more you win, the more support you get, the more membership you get, the more merchandise you sell and as a result you get much more sponsorship dollars.
If we as a club are backing ourselves, we should be committing to playing all our home games between Leichhardt and Campbelltown for a few years, being fully aware we take a big financial hit if we do not have highly successful seasons.

My understanding was Richo’s push to get LO redeveloped was all about making it financially viable.
I remember him saying the type and small amount of corporate boxes currently at Leichhardt aren’t enough to make a profit. The renovation plan is about increased corporate suites plus capacity to make decent profit.

It’s about corporate dollars with these stadiums. Anyway I was just asking the question and Tom answered it.

playing that Parramatta game every year and gifting them a home field advantage burns me …. At least play it at Accor on a neutral ground

Yeah thats right, we'd probably make the semis for a change.

It’s not too unreasonable to think if they made the 8 a couple of times thst the membership numbers could go close to the capacity of the ground …so the financial risk isn’t really there in that scenario if you have basically presold the seats …

BTW … im hoping that it’s the same situation for Cambo after that is renovated

a few successful years at small stadiums like leichardt and campbletown and it might be
if you want to be at the game, you need a membership

More corporates in the Latchem will mean less gold memberships there. I'll bet the North stand will be gold.

2028 if we play every game at Leichardt oval we will make the semis

I would like to think you are right …despite all the other problems around the club ..they have the nucleus of a Top 8 team under contract … in the next 18 months just concentrate on adding more established pieces… it’s about the only thing I have any belief the administration could get right n that time period

if your main focus is the club making money ( or as I said earlier losing less) …I don’t really get it …that’s the reason given to take games to Parramatta right?
I think you misunderstood where I was coming from. I was referring to this "Meantime Manly and the Sharks play every game out of a smaller stadium and get a proper home ground advantage"

reckon the gold will be latchem and in front of latchem
I would say as for the rare few gold seats available in latchem they will be charged at a premium membership (like currently happens at combank) or offered depending on longevity of tenure perhaps
the silver will move from infront of latchem to North stand
