State of Origin 2026

He didn’t do much to impress unfortunately, one decent run with an offload towards the end was about his only highlight.
Onitoni Large was very ordinary, he is wasting his time as a 5/8.
Bishop Neal the monster Qld right edge back rower currently playing for the Warriors was a man amongst boys, very impressive and it doesn’t look like it will be long before he is impressing at NRL level.
The Melbourne Storm contracted Qld halfback Hayden Watson also looks the goods.
I was also very impressed with the NSW left edge back rower Darcy Smith currently with the Roosters. He got outplayed by the much bigger Neal, but he plays tough and has good footwork and athleticism, I think he will be an NRL player.
Darcy Smith is from Kincumber on the Central Coast, Australian Schoolboys last year. Has been in the Roosters SG Ball the last 2 years where they have been back to back premiers (captain this year)

The other NSW back rower currently at the Eels had some good moments. Has PNG heritage. I wonder if he was born here or over in PNG and whether any desire to head to the Chiefs.

I’d have no issue giving Madge the job again, but I don’t think it’ll happen unless Broncos decide to sack him. Ivan’s case is a little different as we know he’s retiring from full time coaching after next season, he’s the front runner for now. But, if Madge is available I got no issue bringing him back his style works for Origin and rep footy.
My point is that Madge will probably be available next year..and Ivan the year after
Flanno too
But Daley is not an option

His defence was better in his second stint, but still didn't look up to this level at any stage really. He made a hit up and then just threw the ball on the ground behind him to no one.

Former Balmain player Adam Starr's son was a starting prop for Qld. Maybe a word with his dad could get him down to the club.

The Blues sure looked like they had Daley coaching....

I looked the look of Hagan, Dellow from the Blues, man for man Qld looked much stronger. Hopefully we're putting feelers out to offer opportunities to some of their best.
