Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

You really think the Dragon’s team are faster than WT?

we could debate that ..Sloan goes ok for instance …they look a bit quicker now in the backs with the likes of Suli and Flanagan out of the team.. they also will have Drinkwater and Metcalf there next year so things could turn around quick smart ..

if we gotta compare ourselves against a 1-13 team for a win we are in trouble …who is the next slowest team… the Dogs maybe ?

Do you agree that lack of speed in the WT team is a long standing problem ?

What the Australian squad going against America!

A nation of 400 Million people who usually dominate most olympic sports. The only reason why they did not do well at Soccer is they did not care about soccer. Now they are starting to care...

Against:

27 Million Australians, A nation that can get to the top 5 Olympic spots. Yet also doesn't have Soccer as our national sport...

...

Damn it just hit me.
I just don't care about soccer at all.
Meh Next comment about Luke Brooks hooking up with Gavlin please.
Thier best players are non USA products . Ie. they’re yanks who learnt thier trade in other countries youth systems .
They’re also given opportunities much like Japanese players , above alternative countries because of the revenue they drive for clubs simply by being a USA player. And clubs wanting to tap into the USA market .
It’s really complex . Thier youth systems are. Bigger joke than ours .

Name the players and list who they should replace
Our outside backs who currently offer more tackle bust threat, line break threat and consistently make big metres each game are Luke Laulilli, Solomone Saukuru and Jeral Skelton.
Common sense would tell you at least 2 of them need to be playing in our NRL with Taylan May and Sunia Turuva being locks for the other two positions within our 2-5.
Makasini has massive potential and played ok against the Dolphins when he come on, but he is not showing enough tackle break and line break threat at the moment and that would be ok if the others were doing it, but if we are being honest Taylan May and Sunia Turuva have not been close to their best recently themselves.
So if we cannot rely on them to provide us with a bit of x-factor, we need to find a couple of players who can assist in doing so.
I know some will say Starford To’a beat 5 players to score a try against the Dolphins and that is great, but what did he do for the rest of the game ?
His yardage carries are bog average and similar to when Tavana was in the team, he will be looking for support as soon as he has clear space ahead of him from any distance.
Unless you have the size and physique of Jeral Skelton, there is no excuse and it is embarrassing to have NRL wingers that have no speed to score or finish off long range tries.

Will he find any ?

I think they could beat the Knights with AD and Twal back ( hopefully) … not that we are much good, but watching them , they look a bit over rated too me…
I wish their over rated 1-7 was playing for us.
We do not have one player within our 1-7 who would make their starting line up on current form and we certainly have nobody with the speed and line break ability of Dylan Lucas within our forward pack.

Ok…they just scaped a 2pt win against the Dragons last start …what a juggernaut..

The Dragons will beat us twice unless we do so something fast to improve ourselves in way of recruitment before June 30.
The Knights 13+ against us this coming weekend is the safest bet you will ever have.
I wish I could be confident, but we are way outclassed within our 1-7 and not for the first time this season.
We always struggle against fast teams as we don’t have the speed to defend them or match then, wake up Benji before it’s too late.

So you are saying Benji and the Wests Tigers coaching staff have no common sense? I do not understand why you need to take digs at people whilst communicating your opinion. You arent right, its nothing more than your opinion.

We have the 3rd worst defence in the competition.

Points conceded:
Dragons 449
Eels 433
Tigers 418

So whilst attack is all good and well, the last thing we need are more defensive liabilities. Luke is a proven liability. Suakuru from all reports is too.

Common sense to play 2 of these blokes? I think not.

Ok mate ..we’ll see … I don’t think there is much possibility they lose all three of those games …not with AD and Twal back …and the effort on Saturday showed they are still competing …could have won that game with a few less dumb errors at critical times …

I wish I had the confidence in my thought bubbles you seem to have Vicious.

You must be a rich man.

You could count the number of times on a hand that I agree with Vicious; but this is one of those times.

We are at risk of losing both games to the Dragons + Dogs + Eels.

Douhei is back for how long? How long until Taylan pops his shoulder again?

We are looking more and more likely to finish bottom 6. Anything else is false optimism and will require a hell of a lot of luck.

If we lose to the Knights this weekend, may as well kiss the season goodbye.

There is a good player inside of To'a maybe all the injuries has affected him and he plays not to get injured instead of playing to win
He is just a total enigma Odessa, the gap between his best and worst is so wide. Not sure if its physical or mental or both.

Unfortunately I think the time should be up for him with us. Hope it works out for him elsewhere.

lol we are 7 and 7 and the dragons will beat us twice ? What a load of wrist cutting nonsense .
We lost that game because we lost our half (who is a shit defensive half btw ) and a back . Meaning our middles had to do large minutes , because we are already down our starting edge backrowers and the guy who was supposed to step up , Geyer , is useless and playing on his last name . With AD back this year our right edge will tighten right up , and as players start to return especially if we get averillo early , we will start to make a run towards the playoffs.
The issue is the comp is lop sided because the top teams have played mainly the bottom teams and have all got wins . As they play each other the win/loss will start to pull much closer to 500, with the top teams pulling away . As per normal .
I listened to Rob crap on this morning about bench rotations it really irritated me . Talking about Murray and Geyer being wasted ! Wasted for what!!! Lanyon is better than both of them, as 2 backs went down that only leaves Pole alternating with Bunty . So that’s 6 rotations of the 8 right there . Sure you wasted 2 , but Bunty was blowing hard when he came off . So maybe you go Bunty and May for Lanyon and Pole then bring May back on. But that’s pretty much all you can do .
Anyways , I think some of you just whinge for the sake of it . Sometimes shit happens . For once shit is happening and we are still operating at a decent win/loss record.
