If there's ever going to be an environment for Schuster to thrive its with us, all the Islander/kiwi boys and Benji obviously has massive rapport with them. We've seen it time after time now they love him they want to play for him.
Stick him in cup leave him there even if he's pulling up tree's get him on the Royce programme and then see what comes of it next preseason.

Whatever happened to him , it did a number on him . I hope he uses this opportunity . We are getting a bit of a rep for being a club for wayward footy players to turn thier life around . I really genuinely wish him all the best .

Schuster has all the talent in the world but for whatever reason seems to struggle.

If Bennett couldn’t get him going I don’t think anyone will but I guess we’ll see.

He's dropped 33kgs so hopefully that's a good sign he is committed.

Yep , and that’s fair enough . They all would have seen him die . I knew it was something massive . Like what happened to all the boys around Fotueka . God rest his soul . Schuster is an amazing signing. Maybe the biggest risk v reward signing ever. Zero risk v rep potential.
Undeniable talent, just needs to be mentally healthy and must have the right coach.
Benji is a leader, a communicator and role model - perfect for Schuster.

Quality guy who had some mental struggles, like many of us have had, has worked on himself and deserves a chance.

He’s big and athletic. Hands like feet but if you fix that you have yourself a depth player.

@kade7 any news on Skelton staying mate? Really like him as a player. Not sure why he seemed to fall out of favour this year. Has a bit to work on, but I think he’s a pretty solid player that will get better. His work out of backfield is massive for us.

Am concerned Benji is chasing distractions like him and Folau

Any Cup/Train and Trial deal for previous NRL players is a good way to test the words vs the actions for these guys. We really have nothing to lose, but if he comes good, the upside with Schuster is exponential.

Watch some cup games when he was a big fat heap and he's still a class above. Everyone knows what he can do when he's interested.
